Reader Question – The book where he falls for the nanny but throws her out once he finds out about her prison record…

She asks:

Need help finding a book

The heroine was in prison for some reason I can’t remember. Her daughter was taken away by child services.

Now that she is free from prison, she needs a job. The hero’s mother hires her as a nanny for the kids despite knowing about the prison issue, but hero doesn’t know.

They fall in love etc etc but hero finds out about the prison record and throws her out of the house.

HEA After grovel. Side bar: the heroine is black while the hero is white.

Anyone have a guess?
