Reader Question… Answered! – The book where he kidnaps her and takes her home to be locked in her own room, to protect her…

Here was a reader question that was asked… and eventually figured out right here in our comments. But considering how much Tessa enjoyed it and wanted more, and considering it’s a dark read (and so many of us LOVE that kind of guilty pleasure), I had to post it, in case someone hasn’t read it yet. Like me. 😉

Tessa asks:

“Okay, this is not the continuation of the book I thought of. Still a good book I remember, but not THE book.

Anyone remember a dark read about the main MC who is a drug or gun runner who has a contact from (Mexico I think?). The contact sends a guy to get a feel for the H. H meets the heroine at a club where the contact sees her too. He likes her and originally was going to leave her alone, but the guy sent liked her too and wants to take her as a slave. So, to “protect” her from the guy sent, he kidnaps her and takes her home to be locked in her own room. The book was extremely intense and I want book 2!

I’ve no clue what the cover looks like, unfortunately. So many books have the same photo stock, Some of them blur. At this point, once it’s found, I’m buying the thing! *grins*”

Tessa: I went through all my read books on Goodreads and it’s not there. Proof I should have been more diligent about putting books on there before now.

bev: Tessa, what does the cover look like, if you remember?

Tessa: I’ve no clue what the cover looks like, unfortunately. So many books have the same photo stock, Some of them blur. At this point, once it’s found, I’m buying the thing! *grins*

bev: Tessa, could it be one of the Karina Halle ones?

Tessa: Bev, nope. I’ve only read her first Experiment in Terror book. This was a dark book. She’s made into a sex slave, basically, just there’s a ton of twists.

Tessa: Figured out the Book! Owned by M. Never! *squees* That was driving me insane! I forgot that she met him originally as a client for a company she worked for. So, I got book two, needless to say. Now that I know, it’s not a huge urge to read, and I can catch up first. *grins*
