Aarvi needs our book help! Oh yeah, marriage of convenience with a cold Hero! I love when I have to work for it. 😉
She asks:
Hi Maryse,
I’m looking for a book I read quite some time ago, and I really don’t remember much about it. But I remember this one scene very clearly.
The heroine’s mother is really sick and the heroine is struggling financially to take care of her, so she goes to her father (he is married to another woman) to ask for help, but she is humiliated very badly by her father, his wife, the stepdaughter and her own brother (who stayed with his father for money). So as a last resort, she goes to a club for work.
There she meets her childhood best friend who is a millionaire and the club is owned by his brother (the hero). I don’t exactly remember how but the hero then convinces the heroine to enter into a marriage of convenience.
I don’t remember much about how he treats her, but he is very cold towards her. The hero’s mom is extremely sweet and is super kind to the heroine, the hero’s mom was also friends with the heroine’s mother.
!!! SPOILER!!!
The last thing I remember is that the hero softens towards the heroine and (maybe) helps her in destroying her father’s wealth.
Anyone have a guess?
Kate: Sounds like Forever After All by Catharina Maura
Aarvi: Yessss!!!! It’s this one Thank you sooo much!!!
Maryse: YAY!!!! That was quick. 😀 Thank you Kate!
BACK ON THE LIST, 'CAUSE READERS ARE LOVING IT!!
Sierra: Love this book!
Marcelle: I just read it based on your response, and it is a freaking amazing book. Now, I am going to read her others.
Mary Ann: I also read Forever After All and it was awesome! I thought Catharina Maura have written all possible plots for a marriage of convenience story but she proved me wrong.
"...Desperate and out of options, Elena Rousseau walks into a gentlemen’s club, ready to sell her body in a last attempt to save her mother’s life. She didn’t expect Alexander Kennedy to be there..."
