GUESS THE BOOK & READER QUESTION TIME! *gasp* This one had me so very excited ’cause I READ IT!!! BUT…. Oh… it’s on the tip of my tongue too!! It’s not Fifty, right? No….? but I TOTALLY read this one and I think I LOVED it. I remember that part… so I opened this one up to our Facebook crew:
Reggie asks:
“Hi Maryse!
I just want to ask if you know that book where the female protagonist got a collar(necklace) from the male protagonist then she found out that this other girl has the same exact collar as hers. She got mad so she broke up with him. I can’t remember the rest!!! The title is on the tip of my tongue and I just can’t recall it! Please help.”
Emily:”In Flight” by R.K. Lilley
Maryse’s Book Blog: I did read that one and YES… that is likely where I read that!!! Right around that timeframe too. (Here’s my review)
Not Your Mama’s Romance: Up in the AirΒ series by RK Lilley?
Rachel: I’ve been meaning to read this one. Thanks for the reminder!
Tessa: It’s not Up in the Air. I think it’s part of a trilogy, each one separate people, (though ironically, they sounded the same reading it) Gah, gotta think on the book.
Charity: I could swear there was a scene like that from The Dom of My DreamsΒ by MF Sinclair
Maryse’s Book Blog: I read that one, too, Charity!! π (here’s my review)
Tessa: It could be that one. I think all the books are starting to blend. π
Anyone else care to venture a guess? I actually *think* it ISΒ The Dom of My Dreams, and I remember really liking that one, big time! Now I shall tell Reggie about this post and see if we already have the answer…
Tessa:Β The one I was thinking it might be was FeverΒ from the BreathlessΒ series. It could be Burn, but I think Fever is the one where she had a boyfriend and a collar that didnβt match her. Then she goes and finds him cheating with another girl with a collar? Not sure. Itβs been too long since I read it. lol
Reggie: You guys are amazing. You found it! Itβs βIn Flightβ by R.K Lilley. Thank you so much.
This is NOT the book – but you can’t mention collars on a girl without giving a shout out to the very best of the best of the best in this genre: The Siren, by Tiffany Reisz. This author is absolutely THE BEST at dark erotica!!!!
I agree Michells S. I recently devoured the first 4 books of this series. I had to take a bit of a break from them but will definitely read the entire series.
keep reading, Tracy! They just get better and better. I can’t remember which one it was, The Saint maybe? That tells the story of Nora and Soren from the beginning – oh man, that was great! They are all great. No one does BDSM and Erotica like Ms. Reisz.
I gotta read those!! I read #1 and really liked it but didn’t follow up with the rest of ’em for some reason…
An excerpt from “In Flight”:
“She fingered a necklace at her throat, eying up my own bared collar, where I had left the top few buttons undone. Hers was a diamond collar, not so very different from my own. βAlthough heβs always been generous enough to make it worthwhile,β she continued, βas Iβm sure you know.β
She then throws up and leaves him. Hope that helps. π
LOL!! Thank you Emily!!!

YAY!!!!!
Oh Michelle S – I think you just gave me the nudge for my next book. I’ll have to go back to the series. A young Soren! I have tried to explain these books to a few girls at work and when I hear myself telling them the story line I just give up. It sounds so crazy but these books just work!
totally thought this was out of M Never’s series.
Tracy – there’s so much of young King and Soren in the later books. You’re right. They sound totally crazy, but they do “just work”. Debauched? maybe. Erotic? Definitely. Smart? absolutely. Riveting? yes!!!! (Can you tell I’m a huge fan?)
