Tammy is looking for this boo and Ohhhhh!! Unrequited LOVE alert!!!! I bet this one is all sorts of angsty (for many obvious reasons), and while I’ve read a few “love after loss” books where the Hero is grieving and at first resists the heroine, I don’t think I’ve read this one. And now I’m dying o know so I can add it to two of our lists here!! Love After LossΒ andΒ Unrequited Love.
She asks:
Hi Maryse,
I love your blog and I’ve made it part of my daily routine. I’m hoping you recognize this book – I read it about 3 years ago and its popped back into my head and I can’t remember the title.
Heroine was in love with the hero but he had a girlfriend/or was engaged. Hero’s gf dies.
Hero and heroine start sleeping together on the boat (that hero owns or lives in?). Hero doesn’t want to be seen with her in public since they live in a small town.
At one point, he is drunk and they have rough sex (heroine is sober).

They do overcome and its a happy ending.
I believe this was the first book in a series.
Anyone have a guess?
Lisa: Maybe All That Jazz by Natasha Boyd?
Ria: Could it be Wednesday by Kendall Ryan?
Tammy: Whoop, Whoop. Thats it Ria. Should have known it would be a Kendall Ryan book.
Maryse: YAY!!! Another one solved and quickly. This sounds SO GOOD!! π
