Mary Louise has a short and sweet reader question, but there just might be enough to spark someone’s memory. FLAMINGOS! I feel like that detail alone … I should know this one. I’ve read it right?
Or is it because it sounds like one of our original indie-romances from back in the day that I devoured so much. Maybe it sounds familiar to me because of “shook” part. That’s always my favorite scene. 😉
Oh yes!! I LOVE when everyone freaks out when the hot guy in school chooses her, and they go public with it. Reminds me of that first day in Twilight when they made themselves known. Ahhhhhh the butterflies in my belly (I’m still getting them right now thinking about it).
She asks:
Hi Maryse!
I’ve been following your blog for so many years now and it’s my first time to ask for a book i read.
But the only details I remember is that the setting is in college, and the guy is a popular one and girl is sort of a loner but has a strong character.
And I remember they had a fundraising day where they put flamingo balloons or decor outside the houses around the campus and the girl rode with the guy’s car and everyone was shook.
Please help meeee.
Thank youuu!
Anyone know which one she’s looking for?

Mary Louise: That was fast! Omg! I can’t believe i forgot that it was Tijan’s. Thank you Caoimhe. And Maryse thank you for the help! 😭
Maryse: YAY Mary Louise!! I’m so happy it’s been solved already, and OF COURSE it was Tijan!! She’s totally one of our early indie favorites so this doesn’t surprise me at all that it was one of her books. Thank you so much Caoimhe!!! 😀
