Oh here’s one!!! This one should be easy enough since we read so much YA and NA, but… I haven’t read it and was unable to help Amy, so maybe someone here knows?
Amy asks:
A book was recommended to me, and now I can’t remember or find the title of it. It is YA and is about a guy and girl in high school who fall hard for each other (of course!), but after she goes to a party without him she starts pulling away and he is trying to figure out why. He knows something pretty bad happened, he just doesn’t know what that is and they start to fall apart. Does this ring any bells with you? Thanks in advance for your help!
Anything come to mind?
Lisa made me laugh when she said:
Lisa: I want to find out, sounds good!Β This is fun to play guess the book!
I know, right?!! Through your guesses, I’ve discovered a bunch of books that weren’t even on my radar but totally should have been.
UPDATE: And the actual book is —>Β Fault LineΒ by C. Desir (will be out November 12th 2013). It sounds awesome!!Β Thanks guys!
Here were all of the suggestions (many of these came from our Facebook crew).
- What a Boy WantsΒ by Nyrae Dawn
- Cracked Up to BeΒ by Courtney Summers
- EasyΒ by Tammara Webber
- Ruining MeΒ by Nicole Reed
- SpeakΒ by Laurie Halse Anderson
- The Wrong PathΒ by Vivian Marie Aubin
- AlmostΒ by Anne Eliot
What A Boy Wants By Nyrae Dawn Is A Possibility. It Has Been A While Since I Read It Though. (I Don’t Know Why My Phone Insisted On Capitalizing Everything- Sorry!)
Lol! I’ve seen that happen a bunch with cell phone posts.
sounds a little like “Cracked Up to Be” by Courtney Summers
“Fault Line” by Christa Desir. π
P.S.: The synopsis of Fault Line: (from goodreads.com)
Ben could date anyone he wants, but he only has eyes for the new girl β sarcastic free-spirit, Ani. Luckily for Ben, Ani wants him too. Sheβs everything Ben could ever imagine. Everything he could ever want.
But that all changes after the party. The one Ben misses. The one Ani goes to alone.
Now Ani isnβt the girl she used to be, and Ben canβt sort out the truth from the lies. What really happened, and who is to blame?
Ben wants to help her, but she refuses to be helped. The more she pushes Ben away, the more he wonders if thereβs anything he can do to save the girl he loves.

I just read that summary yesterday, that’s why I remembered. The book isn’t out yet though…
Thanks guys! I actually just found the title and author a couple of days ago, and it is Fault Line by C. Desir and comes out in November.
I’ve read Cracked Up to Be as well, and that is a good one. π
