I think it would be classed as a Highlander Historical romance.
- An English warrior has been sent by the king to get the Scottish clans to surrender.
- The heroine is from a poor Scottish clan and says she’ll never leave Scotland or give up the location of her brothers/family.
- He tells her they are poor and won’t survive anyway and he loves her?
Would love to find the book if possible.
