Reni needs our book help! And I’m all for searching for an OLD favorite, so I’m glad you brought it to us, Reni!! π Oh and this one sounds a little… salacious. π I’m so curious too, now!!
She asks:
Find the book please
Now this might sound intimidating. I read this one at our local library nearly 20 years ago! Yeah, yeah I can sense the eyerolls and raised eyebrows.
It’s a historical where she’s in an arranged marriage to a man who barely communicates with her, but only visits to make passionate love in the dark at night.
Turns out, the visitor (hero) was actually his cousin.

The hero took part in the deception to save the family honour and to conceive an heir as her husband was a closet homosexual.

Later, when she finds out, he courts her and they fall in love.
I hope someone knows this one.
Anyone have a guess?
Lesley: Could it be Madelynne Ellis β Her Husbandβs Lover?
Reni: Sadly no. The hero wasnβt bi. He was her husbandβs cousin not his lover.
Terri: Reni, Iβd love to read that book! The cousin part is similar to A Rose in Winter by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss from 1982 but no oneβs gay. Have you tried asking it in the Goodreads.com groups βhistorical romanceβ and βwhatβs the name of that book?β
