Tooba needs our book help! Historical romance lovers, this one’s for you! 😀 Actually… I totally remember reading a book like this maybe in anywhere from 2009 to 2011? I remember the kidnap scene, and I almost want to say it’s a Nora Roberts book?
Or was it a movie I watched? The scene is so clear in my head, and I was so excited and titillated about that audacity! LOL!!!
But I haven’t read many Historical Romances so how could it be that I might have actually read THIS one? Now I’m dying to know, too!!!
She asks:
Absolutely love your blog! I was hoping you guys can help me find a book as well!
I’m looking for a historical romance I read a few years ago. Unfortunately the details are super fuzzy but hopefully someone can help.
I remember there were two clans who absolutely hated each other. The hero is a prominent member of one of the clans and he either 1) kidnaps the heroine from the other clan ORRR 2) they have an arranged marriage in order to calm things down.
I don’t remember which it is but they end up at his estate and his whole clan hates the girl due to the rivalry.
I’m pretty sure they took a boat to arrive to his clan and the entire first day she was there she spent the day outside with no food because the clan hated her (thought I should mention she was actually a very sweet girl) and then obv they slowly fall in love 🤪
I know it’s not much but thats all I’ve got!
Thanks for your help 🙂
YAY!!! Thank you Tooba for your sweet comments about the blog, and I’m so glad you’re here with us. And now I’m dying to know this one too!
Anyone have a guess? Let’s make a list!
Maryse: OMG!!! I found the book I was thinking of!!! I read and loved this one (and it’s STEAMING hot!!!). It’s called In the Warrior’s Bed by Mary Wine and here’s my book review.
Tooba: Thats not it 🙁 I started reading this one and I’ll def be finishing it (sounds so good!) but from what I remember of the original book, the hero was indifferent towards the girl in the beginning.
Madalina: Hey Maryse! When I was fifteen I started stealing my mother’s romance books. She wouldn’t let me read them, said I was too young and of course that made me really curious. She had a lot of historical romance books, mostly by the three “J”: Julie Garwood, Jude Deveraux and Judith McNaught.
Maybe the book Tooba is looking for is The Wedding by Julie Garwood? Or another book by her?
Or by Jude Deveraux? Or maybe even Judith McNaught? It’s been a long time, but I remember reading a few books with this kind of trope.
Morgan: Could be a book by Julie Garwood, there are a couple about Scottish clans.
Morgan: After I posted I saw where she mentioned it wasn’t The Wedding, but there is one named The Bride I think that is similar and 1 or 2 others involving the Highlands
Colleen: Maybe one of the Maya Banks Highlander/McCabe series books? #1 “In Bed with a Highlander”?

I bet you that’s it. Both you and Madalina mentioned her.

Thank you Colleen!! I added it in. 🙂
Hi! I really think it’s Sweet Revenge by lynsay sands.. I love all her books, especially the highlanders.
