Reader Question… Solved! The book about the heroine doctor that checks in on an imprisoned man in an institution.

Janet has two find-the-book questions for us! And in her first one, she’s not sure if she’s mixing up two books, or if both these questions pertain to the book she’s looking for, so hopefully this will spark someone’s memory. 🙂

Okay now, I read a book similar to this one back in my early blogging days. It was kind of a sci-fi book (he was an experiment, super-dangerous and in solitary) and he bonded with a doctor…

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

I’ve got 2 questions:

(1) I remember reading about a man who’s been imprisoned and drugged in an institution (mental?). Lady who works there (a doctor?), checks on him regularly, and is attracted to him. Helps him escape the place, went into deep mountains together to look for the wolves that’s like family to the man.

Not sure if I’ve gotten two books into one here.

Maryse: Oh!!! I remember it now!!! But I don’t think he knew anything other than the lab he was created in, so the family of wolves doesn’t ring a bell for me (so maybe Janet IS mixing two books)? My guess is for the first part of her question… Fury (New Species Book 1) by Laurann Dohner that I was thinking of and here’s my Book Review of it. 😀

Andrea: Could it be Savage Mafia Prince by Annika Martin? I think there are wolves in this one and he’s definitely in a mental institution.
