Monica needs our book help! Ooooh I think I might know this one. It’s not one I have read (yet) but it’s HUGELY popular amongst our reading crew, so am I right?
I think it’s Jewel E Ann’s “Jack and Jill series” The reason I remembered it is ’cause I DID start book #1 and I totally remember the grumpy neighbor. LOL!! I need to get back to that series ASAP.

I don’t remember much about this book but i know that it’s a trilogy and bit on the dark side. (Just a little)
So one of the opening scene of this book was that the Main girl just moved into a new town with her brother and the people there think of them as a couple and they let them think that way for quite sometime. They have a neighbour who’s a single dad and an army retired or something. He’s very moody, uptight and straightforward kind of a guy.

At first the main girl and this guy used to bicker alot but after sometime they started liking each other. But then the guy got some disease and dies.
So then there’s a entry of the second main guy. He’s a psychologist. And the main girl goes to him regularly. She starts to have feelings for him but he relentlessly says no. Mainly because he had an incident with her ex from college. They were couple or maybe engaged and were about to get married but then he got the note from his roommate that his fiance was cheating on him with his said roommate. The roommate commits suicide out of guilt and wrote all this in that letter.
But in the end the psychologist guy and the main girl have a HEA.
Also about the thing that it’s a bit dark book is related to the main girl’s past. I don’t remember that information but i know that the book is dark because of her.
GASP!!! I’m not sure I should have read this entire question ’cause that’s detail that I want to experience as I go HOWEVER… what she’s detailed here makes me want to read this even more!!! 😀 This author doesn’t hold back the punches!!
