<— This one was one of my favorites this year. Sweet and steeeeeamy (but in it’s own way). What a tease this book was, but that “perfect” kind of tease, you know? It had me fanning myself like crazy. There was just something about it that to this day, I’m still looking for another “like that”.Β I dunno how to explain it (maybe I explained it better in my review). π And I just found out we’re going to be getting two more books in the series! YAY US!! Us? Yep, ’cause I’m not the only one that loved it:
Jillian:Β I have just fallen in love with a new book boyfriend !!! Bennett is perfect ! I thought I’d never find another Holder or Will from Colleen Hoover’s books but now they have strong competition!Β Your review is exactly what I was thinking and feeling Β Maryse ! Those kissing scenes …… Wow !
Ana:Β Wow!!!!! I didn’t expect too much from this book, but as usual after your review I thought: Well, now I have to read it! hehe And once I started, I just couldn’t put it down!!! So, If I had to use five words for this one…. sweet, romantic, hot, angst, INTENSE. What about yours, Maryse? π
Maryse: Your words are perfect! And since I LOVE 5 words, Iβll try, too! Sweet, seductive, steamy, intense, consuming. π And!! Five more words: One of my absolute favorites! π
Teri:Β You find the best books Maryse! Β This was fantastic. Can’t stop thinking about it. Β Bennett reminded me of Kellen (without the whole man whore part).
Val:Β Aaahhh! Β I can’t get enough of him. Β I haven’t loved a character this much since Kellan. Β Or Travis.Β Thanks again for feeding my obsession with Bennett.

See what I mean? And I agree with them all, wholeheartedly. I think they “felt” that exact same thing I did. This book really had me connecting, even though I’m going to admit, at first I was all… ahhhh this might be “too sweet” for me (considering his unusual “status”). I went in to it with a tiny “chip” on my shoulder. But it proved me wrong. I loved it like crazy!
About book #1:
Nursing student Avery Michaels wants nothing to do with dating–she’s perfectly happy single.Β Privy to too many of her mother’s bad decisions and even worse taste in boyfriends, all Avery can handle is a string of uncomplicated hookups whenever the mood strikes.
When she meets smoking hot tattoo artist Bennett, she wants him–for just one night. But he won’t accept a no-strings-attached arrangement. He lives by a straight-laced code of values based on his own troubled upbringing.
Bennett sees something special in Avery and he wants more from her. Way more. As Avery wrestles with her emotions for Bennett, danger and tragedy force them to open up to each other. And Avery must face the terrifying realization that she wants more from him, too.
So she needs to make a choice–let Bennett go or finally let him in.
SOLD!! Maryse has NEVER steered me wrong. Question… is there a cliff hanger? I normally prefer to wait until all books are in before starting a trilogy but based on these reviews, I am anxious to read this one!
No cliffhanger. π
Just finished reading All of You and I was looking for something a little different and it was perfect! It’s a really sweet story with some amazing quotes from Bennett that at times had me swooning *SIGH*. Thank you, Maryse!
Yay I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Lisa. I have no doubt most of us will love it ’cause it’s right up our alley! π
Ugh! I saw the post and thought book two was out already! What torture. At least it’s another fun one to look forward to though!
