in Reading Order Guide:

Mandi highly recommends these:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Thirst Series by Christopher Pike, I saw someone mention it and you said your hubby bought it for you because of the cover lol. I have not read all of them (as I’m just finding out he rereleased them under this name AND continued the story! YAY!) But Sita was my first experience in the world of female powerhouse Vamps as I read these books in like 5/6th grade LOL, then they were called The Last Vampire Series…… and please don’t let that put you off, yes they are YA novels but Christopher Pike’s writing and his deep concepts of the world have always made his books a favorite of mine. I have read and reread most of them throughout my teens and adult life. I just bought all of them for my Kindle and can not wait to read how he continues the story (hopefully I’am not dissapointed) as these were my all time faves ever!

About book #1:

Alisa has been in control of her urges for the five thousand years she has been a vampire. She feeds but does not kill, and she lives her life on the fringe to maintain her secret. But when her creator returns to hunt her, she must break her own rules in order to survive.

Her quest leads her to Ray. He is the only person who can help her; he also has every reason to fear her. Alisa must get closer to him to ensure her immortality. But as she begins to fall in love with Ray, suddenly there is more at stake than her own life….

I love these books. Its rare when a person really feels something and relates to characters its as if you have really been there or inside her head. Its really weird but awesome?? If that makes sense?? Anyway can’t wait till August.

At the end of vol. 2 she’s mortal and with Lalita and Krishna comes and asks if shes happy and stuff, but she stays like that. Now I’m reading vol. 3, but why is it that she’s now a vampire again?????

Someone pleaseeee explain!!!

I’ve really enjoyed reading the thirst series the first sentence in 1 I was addicted. I really hoping for more bc the way the last book was left open *spoiler* id would be a crime to thirst fans everywhere just to leave her like that. So please say there is another one coming out

I finished all 4 Thirst books in under a week I was so hooked. I hope there will be a fifth because the end of the fourth although it is good it begs for more it kind of leave a cliff hanger that makes me want more! I love the writing style and the plot twists. This was one of those series that I am recommending to all and waiting patiently for more Please!

Madeline June 19, 2012 at 10:02 PM

Is there going to be a fith one in the thirst series?

Amanda July 16, 2012 at 11:58 PM

I have a love hate relationship with Pike. I love his books they are like crack to me I could breath them in and nothing more and be the happiest girl in the world. However I am fooled in to loving them and waiting for my replenishment of his thirsty. Time and time again I have fallen in love with the character Sita and felt a reader/character bond like none other as if I was with her in her travels. My heart belongs to her but he drawls the stories out and I find myself so sad that she has not found that true happy ending and gone to be at peace she longs. Yet the selfish me contradicts me and demands more crack and more story and i am compels to ask for more. Therefore, I resume my love and hate of a brilliant write that supplies my crack.

Does anyone know when the 7th book will be released? ?

vaughn September 9, 2014 at 9:45 PM

I just finished book 5 of Thirst and I really hope there is more! It should not end with a cliff hanger of what’s next.

vaughn September 9, 2014 at 9:48 PM

I am so glad there is a closing to the Immortal Instruments, Book six. I would have really loved more of the Infernal Devices! They all were such good reads. The kind you might think of reading again.
