<— STUDENT-TEACHER/ONE NIGHT STAND ALERT!!Β Against the Rules (Kingston Brothers Book 3) in this series of brothers (each one can be read as a standalone) IS LIVE!!!Β And the author is celebrating by sponsoring today’s Friday Finds newsletter! She’s sent over a Five Fun Facts about the series (and I LOVE how her personal life influenced these stories). π And I’m stealing this right from her “Fun Facts” because it’s exactly what I wanted to know!! SheΒ says:
“I wanted to make sure this series had a little something for everyone, so if you like slow burn, friends-to-lovers, age gap/student teacher, rock star and second chances, youβll find all that within these four books.”
FIVE (oops!!) SIX FUN FACTS about the series:
1.) I havenβt written a series since The Escort Series, so I wanted to be able to spend a lot of time with a chunk of characters again. This time, I made them stand-alone stories, and I knew I wanted them to be brothers.
2.) When I planned out the Kingston Brothers series, I knew I was going to pull a lot from my personal life. My mom, dad, and sisters are all named. The townβs name is my late fatherβs middle name. Stories that the brothers tell are stories that happened to me, my sisters, or my kids.
3.) I actually wrote the first book while my husband was deployed, so I depended on my two older kids to watch my baby for an hour or so every day to get it done.
4.) I wanted to make sure this series had a little something for everyone, so if you like slow burn, friends-to-lovers, age gap/student teacher, rock star and second chances, youβll find all that within these four books.
5.) While writing, I always have to have a Red Bull, a package of strawberry Pop-Tarts, and music.
6.)Β I actually havenβt revealed the title to book four to anyone yet, so this will also be a title reveal. Yay! Iβm thinking itβll be out in September. Probably the 21st.
Synopsis of “Against the Rules”:
When my brothers all but force me to go out with them the weekend before the school year begins, I donβt expect anything more than a few drinks and some laughs. What happens is better than I couldβve hoped for.
I meet a strikingly beautiful woman whoβs new in town. Our night starts with us laughing and drinking in the bar, moves to my bed, and ends with her disappearing into the night without any exchange of information.
Monday morning, she walks into my calculus class and knocks the breath from my lungs.
My one-night stand is now my student.
Never one to cross the line and always one to play by the rules, I make sure to tell her nothing more can happen. But as time goes on, I start wanting to erase the line and throw the rule book out the window. Because even though itβs against the rules to be with her, I feel like, with Nova, I can find happiness again. But she deserves more than becoming my dirty little secret.
