<— Mafia romance lovers, rejoice!!! This is the series for you! Now… admittedly, many of you are probably mafia-romance book lovers BECAUSE of this book. 😉 LOL!!! Yep, I too, was introduced to the world of bad-guys that still need love, and all of the scary stuff that surrounds them, with this read and I. LOVED. IT!!!!!!!!!!!
In fact, here’s my 5-star review of this very book: Sempre (Forever).
Sure… sure… the main character for book #1 is only 17, but it reads very “adult”, because he’s a mafia prince, and being groomed to takeover. And what makes this one SO exciting, is the girl that he secretly falls in love with. The modern-day “slave” his mafia-father rescued, that is living in his house… but that is still not free.
Ahhhhh SO GOOOOOOOD!!! So anyway, even those of you that are familiar with this series can rejoice, because book #3 (Made) is coming out in just a couple of weeks!!! *squeeeee!!!*
Just look at how much we all love it!
Jean: Okay, so don’t know why I waited so long to read this….but finally decided that I would read it as my last book for 2013 (which would be #204 for the year….wow)! Anyway, this book! Wow, why did I wait so long to read it?!?! I usually fly through a book, but I find myself slowing down with this one and really taking it in….going back and re-reading bits….just don’t want to miss anything…and really don’t want it to be over. I am now at 50% and have no idea how this story is going to end. Ugh, why do I have to work today……..boo hoo!
Tori: I feel like I’m the last person to read Sempre. It’s been on my TBR list forever! But having finished it after 2 this morning, and desperately craving more…
Mertxe: I just read Sempre Redemption and I’ve a crush with Corrado
Lisa: I felt like it was forever for Sempre Redemption to be published (though COMPLETELY worth the wait!!) Happy reading!!
Megan: I also loved Redemption!
Kyong: Hi, Maryse! I discovered Sempre here on your site a few days ago and I just finished reading the second book about 10 minutes ago 🙂 I enjoyed it so much that I had to leave a comment here! Both Sempre books are fantastic heartwarming, and heart racing! Definitely 5 stars!
About book #1:
A sexy ebook about two seventeen-year-olds—one a victim of human trafficking; the other the son of the man who enslaved her—who fall in love and question everything they ever believed…
Haven Antonelli and Carmine DeMarco grew up under vastly different circumstances. Haven, a second-generation slave, was isolated in the middle of the desert, her days full of hard work and terrifying abuse. Carmine, born into a wealthy Mafia family, lived a life of privilege and excess.
Now, a twist of fate causes their worlds to collide. Entangled in a web of secrets and lies, they learn that while different on the surface, they have more in common than anyone would think.
In a world full of chaos, where money and power rule, Haven and Carmine yearn to break free, but a string of events that began before either of them were born threatens to destroy them instead. Murder and betrayal are a way of life, and nothing comes without a price—especially not freedom. But how much will they have to sacrifice? Can they escape their pasts? And, most of all, what does it mean to be free?
I’ve had this series on my tbr list forever it seems!! Love all the great reviews.
Yeah I’m with ya Linda, this has been collecting ‘dust’ in my kindle for too long. It got 5 stars so what am I waiting for?!
I took forever to finally read this book. I really liked Book 1. Liked. Not loved like so many others. Then I waited forever for Book 2. I’m not sure I finished it (my bad) – I honestly can’t remember. I know I squirreled away from it a lot. There’s a book 3? I hate to say it, but I think I am over caring what happens to these people. The downfall of waiting so long to publish these trilogies!!!! (book 1 was pretty good though).
Loved book one. Book two was good, though not as intense. The fear and intensity of one really made it a five star. The worry was still there in two, and some major wtf points. I can’t wait for three.
I have the first 2 on my kindle and haven’t read them yet!
I have been waiting for this. one of my favorite series!
Can I read Made as a stand alone?
wait im confused, whats the reading order?
Hi Rae!
