THE DUET IS COMPLETE – and now it’s a trilogy – also complete!!! 😀 Oooooh it sounds INTENSE!!!!!! I can’t figure out exactly where the blurb is leading me, but it sounds SO ANGSTY and these covers have my heart! Gorgeous.
I hope the story is as emotionally heart wrenching and beautiful as these covers.
Nay: So I finished What He Doesn’t Know. I really enjoyed it. It was angsty, not quite as angsty as I’d hoped (I was missing a bit of character and story development), but I think the 2nd half of the duet is going to be the one to chew up your guts and spit them out–Yay! So only have to wait 10 more days. And I love the covers–I think I’m supposed to want her to be with the guy on the first cover, BUT I’m LURVing the Jared Letoishness of the guy on the second cover…
Leslie M: YES!!! What He Doesn’t Know looks like it would be up my love-triangle alley.R. Renee: The Kandi Steiner Duet, What He Doesn’t Know …I accidentally picked up the Kandi Steiner duet last night and couldn’t put it down until I fell asleep…Leslie M: I loved books 1 & 2…. I finished it right before Christmas and holiday madness. I wanted to mention it was audio version with great narration!Lisa: Kandi Steiner angst is like crack to me
About book #1:
On the northeast side of town, there is a house. The house was once magical, filled with love and joy and plans for the future. Inside its walls are many things that belong to me — my books, the china from my mother on my wedding day, the beautiful cage once home to two birds, now empty, just like me.
And a man. A man who also belongs to me. A man I no longer wish to keep. A man who, no doubt, has not slept, though the sun is rising. Because the house where he waits is where I laid my head to rest every night for eight years. Until last night.
No one who knows me would believe Charlie Pierce, the quiet, bookish girl who never made waves is pulling out of the driveway of a man who isn’t her husband. But they don’t know me at all.
I don’t even know me. Not anymore.
They say there are two sides to every story, and I suppose in most cases, that’s true. But the one I live inside of? It has three. On the northeast side of town, there is a house. But there is no longer a home.
