Karen Cimms – Of Love and Madness Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

<— SUPER INTENSE ROCK-STAR ANGSTY ROMANCE ALERT!!! My uber-angst/jaw-dropping romance loving book-twin (Amy) just ranted about how badly she wants to read this and yet… there’s SOMETHING about it (that she read, spoiler-wise) that is holding her back. AND STILL… she’s tempted.

And now… I’m intrigued. ;)

Nay: OMG, Maryse–I just finished a read-fest with At This Moment and the following two books, which is an epic saga about a rock star and the love of his life spanning 25 years. Talk about being put through the wringer and having your guts ripped out, chewed up and stomped on. That’s what this series did to me and I LOVED every minute of it! It was also VERY well written and edited. I’d be a happy, happy girl if I could read a series like this once a month!

Melinda: Hello everyone, picked up a really good rockstar book. Sort of similar feel to Tristian and Danika in a trilogy called “At this moment” by Karen Cimms. I think it’s free or it was when I got it. Really having trouble putting it down. Jean one for you, definitely.

Jean: Melinda, I did buy At This Moment! It’s high on my TBR!

Jan: I’ve bought At This Moment too on the strength of the reviews and blog comments also the bargain price.

Melinda:  I loved it 5 stars for me the 3 books are super good.

Tera: All three books are soooo good

Amy: To whoever suggested At This Moment…WHY would you do that to me?? It seemed perfect and I was all set to click it, and then I checked out the GR page where the author answers a spoilery question (thank goodness for her willingness to do that) and it’s one of those things I just can’t get past…and yet, I’m still fighting the urge to click it. DANGIT!

About book #1:

Kate Daniels wants it all–a big, crazy life, lots of kids, and an adoring husband. Someday. Billy McDonald wants it all, too. Since the day he got his first guitar, he’s had one goal–to prove he’s worth something. His dream is so close, he can almost touch it.

On the outside, they have nothing in common, but scars aren’t always visible and abuse doesn’t always leave a mark. Kate keeps the pain of her past buried, while Billy carries his like a weapon.

In spite of finding love, Billy is haunted by his childhood and tempted by the excesses of the music industry. He struggles to keep his career on track and his inner demons at bay, until one night, he makes a mistake that could cost him everything.

LOL!!!! Sorry… but you ranted, and I felt teased in the process. ;)

So… I’m sitting on my hands too.

*whines like a toddler* I don’t knoooooowwwwwww!!

I badly want to but I also know my visceral reaction to that sort of thing in a book…

If you do, then I will. But not a damn moment before. *crosses arms and frowns*

Hi Maryse and the rest of you lovely readers,
Thanks for letting me know my poor Katie and Billy are tormenting you so. I’m really honored. I’m also chuckling a bit. Poor Amy. Let me just say this, Billy loves Kate. More than anything.
As for the rest of it, you’re just going to have to trust me. :)
I hope you will!
Feel free to ask me any questions as you read or when you finish. I’m more than happy to answer.
Have a great day. I’m getting ready for another nor’easter. Grrrr.

Oh daggumit, for real, Melinda, you throw out a T&D comparison when I’m on a book buying ban??? *stomps to the blankie fort*

Grey March 6, 2018 at 1:28 PM

Maryse March 6, 2018 at 1:58 PM

But but buttttttt we can do it!!! This is ANGST and drama!!!! :D It’ll be fun :D

Amy March 6, 2018 at 2:11 PM

But but buttttttt…NEED I remind you of how I reacted to Carnage? And and annnnnnnd The Perfect Game?? Dammit, here comes the splotchy chest with just the mention of that title…

Nay March 6, 2018 at 4:27 PM

Well, we need to wait for Amy to not be all hopped up on painkillers… or not, she may be more fun as a BR companion this way. *giggle*

You almost have me convinced. Rock star, angst, KU, BUT I’m with Amy I HATE that sort of thing too and it messes with me too much. Funnily enough, when it’s the opposite, it’s not the same reaction.

Amy, if it helps, I don’t see this as the same situation as in The Perfect Game. In this one the MC’s have a long, dysfunctional relationship and there is drug and alcohol abuse. Although, thinking about it, aren’t most of the relationships we read about, dysfunctional?!

I didn’t read the blurb…. I’m not going to read the blurb. Must. Not. Read. The. Blurb.

Paula March 7, 2018 at 4:04 PM

Amy – I think I recommended this on the GR group chat. It is brilliant and I don’t think it is anything like Carnage – you will be fine – be brave!

Susan March 8, 2018 at 9:38 PM

Omg!!! Girls, Gals. Put your big panties on and read this. You will not be disappointed. It’s epic!! I read this last year and it sucked me in soooo good. I read so many books that I had forgotten what this was until I clicked back on it and I’m now re-reading it and almost done with book one. It’s that GOOD!!! You will LOVE it!!! It’s a 5 star series and just like the ones we LOVE!! Trust me Maryse!!
