About the series, the author says:
There are seven books in the series. …I am working with my editor and cover designer to try and release one a month and have them all out by the end of the year.
I have attached the picture I did of the main characters from the series. Their names, from left to right, are: Arrio, Danni, Francis (spelt that way deliberately), Sabeh, Satinka, Elvac, Taum, and Benji.
I have found that everyone enjoys stories for different reasons. Usually there is a mix involved, but predominantly some people love plot, some love prose, some love world building, etc… I love character. It’s the big selling point of a story to me. Can I love the people? Do I want to pick up the book to go back to them? That is the one thing that will truly make me love a good story.
In fact, I often find that I love the supporting characters more than the central protagonist. Which is where the idea for the structure of the series came from. The War of the North Saga is designed so that each of the characters in the group gets a turn at being the main character for a book. So that no matter who is your favorite you will get a chance to focus on them as the quest continues.
The War of the North has been a labour of love for me for about a decade. I first came up with it in school, but I didn’t start writing it properly until university. Over the next seven years I churned out the books, and scraped together money for editors, who made me rewrite some of it so much I thought I hated it.
But, finally, the entire saga was complete. Now that it is in a state that I am truly proud of, I want to share it with the world.
