in Reading Order Guide:

One of my favorite paranormal authors is well into another series! Book #3 will be out soon, and this one is YA, and about a post-apocolyptic world. I’m hearing “intense love story”! :D

Melissa: I read the first one and have the second one on my shelf. I loved it. It kept me thoroughly engrossed in it.

Ash: I love it actually!

Tasha J: I’ve just finished book2 in the Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole, Endless Knight. The first being Poison Princess. And I devoured these books! Not sure who recommended them on here but absolutely loving them so far, and I see that a new one is coming out this summer I think! :) So I may hold off on the third until it gets closer to that one come out. The whole tarot card aspect is something I haven’t read before and it was done so well, it was just the thing I needed. You know when you have to switch up genres from time to time so u don’t get that burnt out feeling? At least I do quite often…anyway this series did it for me!

Tessa: TashaJ! Isn’t the series so good? I love the Arcana series. Who do you love more? Death or Jack? I’m so in love with Eric. Jack is awesome, don’t get me wrong, but Death just stole my heart…. That series is so good and has me guessing on a lot of theories.

About book #1:

She could save the world—or destroy it.

Sixteen year old Evangeline “Evie” Greene leads a charmed life—until she begins experiencing horrifying hallucinations. When an apocalyptic event decimates her Louisiana hometown, killing everyone she loves, Evie realizes her hallucinations were actually visions of the future—and they’re still happening. Fighting for her life and desperate for answers, she must turn to her wrong-side-of-the-bayou classmate: Jack Deveaux.

But she can’t do either alone.

With his mile-long rap sheet, wicked grin, and bad attitude, Jack is like no boy Evie has ever known. Even though he once scorned her and everything she represented, he agrees to protect Evie on her quest. She knows she can’t totally trust Jack. If he ever cast that wicked grin her way, could she possibly resist him?

Who can Evie trust?

As Jack and Evie race to find the source of her visions, they meet others who have gotten the same call. An ancient prophesy is being played out, and Evie is not the only one with special powers. A group of teens has been chosen to reenact the ultimate battle between good and evil. But it’s not always clear who is on which side…

I love this series too. Very clever, and different from anything I’ve read before. There are a few holes I hope gets explained later, but so unusual and well written, I’ve just accepted that based on who the characters are, they don’t naturally have the answers.
