Kristen Ashley – Rock Chick Series Reading Order Guide

in Kristen Ashley, Reading Order Guide:

Okay so I discovered a new author, and it appears her stories, and her “Alpha” male heroes are right up my alley! So I shall be, pretty much, having a Kristen Ashley marathon this week (maybe two ;) There are so many books!!). My marathon shall consist of reading order guides, her books, my reviews, etc… Each time I struggle between what book of hers to read next, I choose one, am told it’s awesome, and then find out from someone else, that the other I also wanted to read is JUST as awesome!

I guess this is just to say, there’s just no losing no matter which of her books I choose next. And she’s got a few, so let’s go with the first one that was suggested to me (and that I haven’t even picked up yet, even though it is exactly what I would want to read).

As recommended by Laycie:

“MUST read- Kristen Ashley-Rock Chick Series. Absolutely fan-friggen-tastic! Got the bad boys, strong women, action, passion, lust. I fell for everyone of them. Laughed hard, cried hard and crushed hard.”

and then by Morgan:

“You should give the rock chick series by Kristen Ashley a try! They’re not rock stars but they are DEFINITELY badasses!!”

As per the author:

“Based in Denver, the Rock Chick Series is eight books that take you on the wild ride of the courtships of the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch.”

“I think anyone who has read my Rock Chick series as well as Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series can see I was influenced greatly by the humor and hot guys Evanovich introduced us to in Trenton.”

“… when I decided to jump feet first in the Rock Chick series , my intentions were threefold. 1) To write funny books with hot guys, sassy gals and great secondary characters; 2) To keep readers informed of the earlier love stories as the series progressed and; 3) To build a family of friends that readers will connect with so when the next Rock Chick came out, they’d feel like they were coming home.”

And a spinoff to follow! (as per the author):
“Although the final chapter of Rock Chick will be Ally’s story, this doesn’t mean we need to say good-bye to the gang at Fortnum’s. Oh no. They’ll return in a spin-off series. This might or might not include Darius getting his story told in the spin-off series. As I’ve not yet said good-bye to my Rock Chicks, I don’t know how that’ll pan out. So if you are aching for Darius to have his happily ever after, don’t give up hope. Just stay tuned for more information on that.”
And as an aside: I often get folks asking me to tell Daisy and Marcus’s story. I love, love, LOVE it that you love my Daisy enough to want to see how she found Marcus and her unusual but lovely happily ever after. And I never say never so perhaps one day they’ll get a novella. For now, my writing schedule is crazy! So I’m not saying no… I’m just saying not real soon but it could happen!”

I’m with you, Kristen Ashley is my new obsession for the next few weeks. Reading The Gamble right now and it’s great!

Maryse November 22, 2011 at 1:23 PM

I heart Max!! Not as much as Tate (yet) but i’m still in the first half of the book and he’s but pretty darn close!

Melissa November 22, 2011 at 3:42 PM

Yes! I’m 70% in and Max gets better and better! (But, no, still not beating Tate for me) I’m really loving Nina and her ballsy attitude, too ;)

You reeeeeeeeally need to move onto Mystery Man after this one…ommmmg. 3 men (I’ll add to that by saying a sexy sexy head of motorcycle club, a police officer, and Hawk who hasn’t been forthcoming about what exactly he does, all veeeeeery hunky…mmm) going after the girl. Oh yes. Can’t get enough of Kristen Ashley! I’ll be thanking her at the dinner table Thursday!!!

Christina November 22, 2011 at 6:28 PM

And I’ll add tothat post by saying, I’m moving to Colorado. Yum…eeeeee

I’m doing the exact same thing. As soon as you posted your review of Sweet Dreams, I bought it. And then I read comments about the other books, and it’s so hard to decide what to read now. Going with Rock Chicks for right now :)

Let me know how you’re liking Rock Chicks. I’ve just received TWO more book recommendations (other Kristen Ashley’s). Very excited cause it looks like many of her books cause that same “Tate” effect.

I eeeeeek’d when Max’s best friend pulled her down into his lap!! LOL!! I knew that ticking jaw was gonna have something to say shortly after…

Chris! I hear ya ;) This certainly is one find that has helped me get my alpha-male groove back.

Reporting back in.

I have no fraking idea which book I liked more – Sweet Dreams or Rock Chicks. I was up from my post last night until about 11am. Slept for 2 hours, had family over, and then finished up just now.

I loved it. Lee is swoon worthy. Very nearly as hot as Tate.

Not sure how to explain this since I’m zombied but to me Rock Chicks was a lighter and a bit more fun. The heroine Indy reminds me of Stephanie Plum and her antics. And did I mention Tate. Swoon. ****HAWT***.

Hey Maryse,
I was wondering if you had a chance to read her rock chicks series. I started with the Dream Man series and then the rock chicks and they are awesome. I really recommand reading the rock chicks series it is simmilar to the dream man series with hot alpha males (Lee Nightingale is yummy), drama, comedy, and just a great story. I hope you enjoy her books as much as I do. I’ve also read the burg and colorado mountain series and I agree with you 100% on your comments about them they are AWESOME.

Allison Rodriguez July 19, 2014 at 1:30 AM

Rock chick revenge.
Horrible, love this series.

I love Luke, hate Ava, If you like her. You are dillu sional. This character is unlikable. There isn’t a man alive who would waste their time. He is so beyond her childish behavior. What a waste of a hot guy. He was sooooo hot until he turned into this laser girls victim. Are you kidding! Couldn’t finish , it bummer. Will be getting my credit back from audible.
