in Reading Order Guide:

HIGHLY recommended by Ilsa Madden-Mills (<— an author and fellow reader :) loved by so many in our group!!), and she may have just made my week! It is this recommendation that has me JUMPING on this series right now. I just have this feeling, I am SO going to go crazy for this. BDB feel? MINE!!!! I’m startin’ it right now!!! As soon as I post this. I’m just… in the mood, ya know? THIS reaction below, is the reaction I’m craving to feel sooooo badly, and I just can’t resist…

Ilsa: “Maryse, I don’t normally post about books I really dig, but holy hell, I stumbled across a vampire book by a British authorLindsay J. Pryor. It’s layered and deep and riveting and sexy all rolled into one. It reminded me a little of the Ward books, although…and this is hard for me…I think they are better. Yes, I said it. Don’t get me wrong, Ward is my all-time fav paranormal romance writer, but Lindsay managed to combine the dark with MORE sexy…and less of the other characters. It’s all about her hero and heroine. Anyway, I don’t know Lindsay personally nor am I friends with her on FB, but you can bet I’m stalking her like a mad woman. Here is the linkie to her first book. Enjoy! Or you may have already read it! Ha. I seem to always be late to the party… No cliffy!!! … but more in the series about other characters…just like I like it.”

Katie: Do yourself a favor and one-click this book. I like it better then the BDB books. Yep, I said it and went there.

What what whaaaaaaaaaat!!??? BDB is my absolute FAVOORRRRRITTTTE!!!! And both of you say…. better???? Ohhhhhhhh… ohhhhhhh yes. I am SOLD and absolutely on it RIGHT NOW! *eeeeeep* and *squeeeeeeeee*

Nighty night my friends… I’m going to vampire land and I have a feeling my night will be AH-MAZING!!

About book #1

Gifted with the ability to read the shadows of ‘third species’ beings, Caitlin Parish is the Vampire Control Unit’s most powerful agent. Despite that, her mission to hunt down Kane Malloy – a master vampire – comes with a death wish. Many have tried, but few have survived.

For Caitlin, tracking Kane is about more than just professional reputation. With her parents both mysteriously killed 7 years apart to the day, Caitlin knows that without Kane’s help she is next.

She has four days to make a deal with the wicked, the irresistible, the treacherous Kane Malloy. The vampire who despises everything she stands for. Or die.

You had me at BDB. :-D Gotta say I doubt anything could reach my BDB level of love (ok, obsession), but this one actually sounds really good so I’m gonna give it a try. Thanks!

Hmm.. Better than BDB?? I am skeptical but my curiousity is piqued for sure. Will try it as soon as I finish my re read of Laura Adrians Mindight Breed. Thanks :)

Okay, I finished this & book #2 Blood Roses. I have such a book hangover! Katie, while I agree this series is as good as BDB, to me it has more of a Gena Showalter feel to it.
These guys are just dripping in testosterone and the women are just as strong to challenge them. I think this series has the potential to hit my top 10 paranormal reads.
Oh and if you haven’t checked out any of Gena Showalter’s books I highly recommend her Alien Huntress or Lords of the Underworld series! :)

I just finished reading Blood Shadows, very good, but to me it can’t hold a candle to BDB. That’s only my opinion. It was really good though. I am an avid reader of paranormal romance and when I come across something that I haven’t read, I immediately get it and dive in. I will start book # 2 now, really just trying to bide my time till the king comes out lol

I just finished Blood Torn, which is book #3, and it was my favorite of the series. I didn’t like Blood Roses, book #2, as much because I had an issue with the heroine. Just had a hard time connecting with her. Looking forward to the 4th book.

Don’t resist Maryse! The Blackthorn series is awesome. I’m a huge BDB fan and the Blackthorn series is right up there with it. So dark and the plot is superb. Love Lindsay J.Pryor’s writing.

This book series is to die for!! It’s a must read for sure!! It has so much heat, you can’t help but get caught up in the fire and intensity! You will for sure fall for the characters! I don’t know what more to say about the books than try it out and see how addicting they are!
