So I dug around and found this author…easy quick reads.

Madison Brooks <— Love and Vengeance series with 4 novellas, Each once full of betrayal and revenge (not so much book 4, which is ok but not as good first three novellas). Sadly not part of Kindle Unlimited.

Here are the main tropes.

1. The Crest Betrayal:
– Strong FMC
– Her husband and the OW engage in huge betrayal, including evil plan for scorched earth takedown of FMC’s business career
– Great revenge plan with help of MMC
– Billionaires and romance
– Satisfying ending

 

2. Love and Ashes:
– Strong FMC
– Controlling family who only care about money and appearances
– The OW is a wealthy cougar who wants control and money, and will do anything to protect her status
– Despicable boyfriend who only wants control, professional success that is based on stealing the FMC’s work
– MMC who helps FMC fight back
– Romance
– Satisfying ending

3. The Lost Wife:
– Strong FMC
– Her cheating slime ball husband works with one of his many OW (this one is a big betrayal) to steal money/hide assets from FMC
– FMC and loyal friends with many unique skill sets create and implement awesome revenge plan
– Includes a new male love interest for FMC
– Satisfying ending

4. The Billionaire’s Pregnant Ex- Wife
– FMC, who is essentially a doormat, marries billionaire MMC, who hardly knows her, but is following father’s directive
– Loveless marriage (on MMC’s part) ends in divorce
– FMC hides pregnancy and escapes
– Ex-girlfriend returns to claim her man
– MMC has change of heart and wants his ex-wife and baby
– Lots of angsty parts, but the characters changes of mind are a bit formulaic and inexplicable
