Do any of these books ever mention what happened to Clark other than he died? I read multiple statements about Cassidy being stuck in a loveless marriage. Is there a Cassidy and Clark book I’m missing somehow?

I googled to try to figure out that backstory and I can’t piece it together though I think I’ve read all the almond bay books. Find anything out?
In Hattie & Hayes book it tells that he died in a bus accident. I believe he was in the Peace Corps. Cassidy & Abel loved each other but he would never make a move because he was Ryland’s best friend
Is there going to be an Abel book?
