<— A series dedicated to hockey players??!! YES PLEASE!! Three books are out in the series as we speak (yep! The third book just went live on Amazon). 😉
These fellow readers highly recommend these:
Julie: Maryse, just finished reading “Off Limits” by Sawyer Bennett. Loved it. Put Nix in your list of “book boyfriends”. He is definitely a keeper!
Kathy: Just finished Off Sides by Sawyer Bennett… It was a very sweet romance and loved the hero in the book!
About book #1:
“I’m not sure what possessed me to do it. Maybe it was the impossible expectations I faced, maybe it was my own self-loathing. But I just knew I needed something different to happen. I needed someone…something…to derail me from my current path. Otherwise, I would become lost…a hollowed out shell of a man. So I did it. I approached her, then I pursued her, then I made her mine. And my life was saved…”
Ryan Burnham is the privileged son of a U.S. Congressman and captain of his university’s hockey team. While he is on the verge of fulfilling his dreams to play in the NHL, his parents want him on a different course. One he is expected to accept for the sake of his family’s public image.
Forced to abandon her music career after the heart breaking death of her parents, Danny Cross exists on the opposite side of the tracks from Ryan. She is struggling to make her own way, working two jobs, attending college part time and volunteering in a homeless shelter. She is on a mission to build her own success.
With a chance meeting, their vastly different worlds collide, causing each to evaluate whether they are truly on the correct path to self-fulfillment and happiness. Can their relationship survive? Particularly when others are against them every step of the way. A lot can happen in just ten short days…
I read the first 2 books a few weeks ago and really enjoyed them! The hero in the second book, Nix, isn‘t a hockey player though. That‘s ok because he was a sexy, grumpy, bad boy and that‘s just as good in my opinion!
I love grumps!!! 😛
I loved Off Sides! Danny and Ryan make an awesome couple. I have Off Limits ready to go and Off The Record on my short list of books to buy ASAP 🙂
I picked up Off Sides because it was free on Amazon, I was in the mood for a light read coming off of a few heavy, dark, angsty ones. I was so glad I did once I finished it, it was exactly what I needed. Light and sweet with a HEA. I went on to read Off Limits and finished Off the Record today, all were great reads for me.
I got books 1 & 2 for 0.99 each.
Just finished Off the Record last night and it was great, but out of the 3, Nix is still my favorite- I love hockey players but Nix is former military and his story was the more powerful one for me
You are right. I just finished Off the Record last night and my favorite of the series is Off Limits. Love that Nix. I am glad there was a blurb about Nix and Emily in the last book.
Thanks you so much for posting the reading order for the Off books. That is awesome! and thanks everyone for the kind words. xoxoxo

*Spoilerish*
I really thought Off Sides was the best of the series so far, though I’m always critical of sexual assault being used as a plot device unless the author is really trying to say something about the topic. Still, OS was the best one. The others just seemed to rehash storylines and characters from previous installments. No?
Darn it! Every time I come here, my already huge “to read” list gets even longer. I can’t help myself – I will start reading the series which looks quite good. Thank you for the reviews.
