<— Talk about an intriguing blurb!!!! This sounds like it’s going to be angsty and intense. And now the duet is complete and we can devour to our heart’s content! π MINE!!!!
Karen:Β Six Feet Under by Whitney Barbetti is amazing. Itβs dark and beautiful, and gives an incredible insight to addiction and mental illness, all wrapped in a stunning tale of unconditional love. I am chomping at the bit for part two. This book is my favorite read of 2018.
Nancy:Β Meet Mira the most messed up Character you will ever find in a book. She admits to being certifiable crazy. Raised by a single mom who is Bipolar & you don’t know if her mental illness was due to hereditary or else PTSD or both! The book was told from her point of view. I was exhausted from being in her warped mind. The book is over 500 pages, but does end on a cliff hanger.
About book #1:
Six wasnβt the hero I needed.Β But he was the man I wanted.Β And it was my selfish craving, the desire to own him, that would be our undoing.
No one tells you that love is a disease. An infection that tears your heart apart, leaving you half the person you were before. A malady that leaves open wounds. An invisible disorder tracing scars in the places you couldnβt see if you werenβt looking for them.
I was sick, but love didnβt heal me.Β Instead, it festered in my marrow, and drove me to unforgivable mistakes.
Six was my first mistake, but he wouldn’t be the last.
I loved this duet. The best two books I’ve read all year, and I’m over 50 books so far. They’re excellent.
