Following my heart, one book at a time...
These six books sound like SOOOOOO much fun, and I want to read them all. Fun, short stories by hugely popular authors, and crazy “meet cutes” are right up my alley!
<— P.S. THIS ONE (The Exception to the Rule) IS #1 ON ALL of Amazon Kindle right now as we speak!!!!
Christine: This story was exceptional! I rarely ever read short stories because it takes me a bit to connect (hectic work life and all.) This story grabbed me. I loved ever second of it and the narration was perfection!
I LOVE THESE COVERS & THIS PREMISE!!! Very clever collection of romance novellas for this “Cards of Love” series and a gorgeous esoteric look perfect for this time of year. 😉 Each book is connected to a tarot card!!
“Pick your card.
Choose your fate.
Fall in Love.
Pick another card.
Fall in love all over again.
Which card will you choose?
Cards of Love series, featuring tarot-based stand alone stories written by over two dozen authors.”
Trick or treat? Looks like ALL treat, to me. 😉
THE SERIES (note: many are coming out in October, but may not have a preorder yet – I’ll update as they become available):
OH SQUEEEEEE!!!!!
I can’t believe my eyes with this creepy looking series of short horror stories. Little scary bites just PERFECT for this month of Halloween. I’m tempted to read one a night… just before bed. 😉 *shivers*
Each one, by a different author, so you KNOW you’re going to get all sorts of terrifying tales. Some maybe… right up front and in your face scary, while some so subtle, they’ll sneak up on you in the worst of ways. YES PLEASE!!
“…a collection of seven heart-stopping short stories by bestselling authors who give you so many new reasons to be afraid. Each story can be read in a single sitting. Or, if you have the nerve, you can listen all by yourself in the dark.”
Wild <— GOING LIVE IN JUST A FEW DAYS!!!
So… my sister came to my house and saw this cool review copy sitting on my desk. And she settled in, and devoured!! And guess what? She has a review!
P.S. I blushed through it and can’t stop laughing at my sister’s *ahem* descriptions. 😉
P.P.S. These are ALL shifters. *waggles eyebrows*
Review by Johanne Pearl Couturier
First story: Catch a Tiger by the Tail by Eve Langlais (3.5 stars)
Very short story, good rhythm, lots of secrets kept and a mood that feels like a Clark Gable movie.
