Who’s in the mood for some “fighter-style” contemporary romance? These are steamy, with just the right amount of angst and moments of heartache to really keep us pining. Great reads when you are looking for a fulfilling and sweet love story, but that won’t make you too crazy in the process. PLUS!!! These are about BOXERS!! Gorgeous up-and-coming-top-of-their-game fighters that are dealing with possible fame and fortune… and trying to fit that all in with that one girl that is flipping their world upside down.
Book #3 in the sexy “fighter/boxer” series, 5th Street by Elizabeth Reyes is in the works as we speak, and I think we might be in for something big! When a fellow reader asked Elizabeth if there would be any more in the series after (Noah (5th Street #1), and Gio (5th Street #2)) she said:
Elizabeth Reyes: two more Peggy! Up next Hector <3
“Yep, so as you can see this will be my first ever NON Hispanic heroine. A redhead to boot. =) It won’t be a major part of the conflict but it will be part of his intrigue in her. I’m almost halfway into it and already it’s getting pretty intense. I’m at that giddy stage in the story where it’s coming to me fast now and I’m getting really excited but I still can’t even estimate when it will be ready. I’ll keep you guys updated though.”
Bargain e-book ALERT!!! Noah (5th Street), and this is only temporary, because book #2 in the series will be released soon (YAY meeeeee!!!)
This is one that I absolutely LOVED. A contemporary romance with a gorgeous up and coming fighter (read: alpha-male) and his somewhat older “trainee”. I loved the slow build-up and the issues they faced. I was so IN… hook line and sinker. A lighter read, but still smokin’ and it’s got all that emotional tug ‘o war that I so thoroughly enjoy.
Noah (5th Street)
Whoa! I think I’ve been missing out. Is this what the author of the popular “Moreno brothers” series writes?!! While I realize this one isn’t from that series, I’d just like to say if the Morenos are anything like “Noah”, I am in for some fun!
I’m a little red-faced to admit this, but the cover sold it right off the bat! After a few fantastic *fighter/boxer/UFC* romance reads, I’ve been searching for more. I love these “rough-around-the edges” heroes. The strong, silent types. I saw this announced by my author friend (thanks Tina!!) and it was an immediate buy for me. And judging this book by it’s cover worked out great, ’cause by the time I hit the middle, I knew I was truly loving it! I *pre-squee’d* on Facebook. Yep. I know, I know… I’m trying to abstain from doing that, now. ‘Cause there were a few occasions where I’ve felt the need to take my *squee* back when the book didn’t turn out to be all that. But THIS one, I already knew was a sure thing.
When I mentioned having read Moreno brother book #1 (which was YA – young adult), Jamie adamantly told me:
“Oh Maryse….you MUST continue! The adult Moreno Brothers are soooo yummy and alpha to the bone! My favorite is Romero. He is a foul mouthed bad boy that will have you laughing your butt off. Oh, and Sal’s book…oh, oh and Alex!!!! They are all good. Even Sofie’s is good but the boys books are my favorite. Not YA at all. *blush* … Ladies SERIOUSLY, if you loved Noah, you have GOT to read The Moreno Brothers!!! SO GOOD!”
