Are you looking for more motorcycle club romance reads? Do you love a real bad boy (and I mean raw, gritty and unapologetic). You know… THAT kind of bad boy. 😉 Where the lines are blurred between good, bad and potential anti-hero. Or maybe he’s good at heart, but still… has his own way of doing things. A bit of shock value, if you will. And all of that dominating alpha male x everyone in the compound. Yep. Testosterone a-plenty in Kristen Ashley’s books but her latest Motorcycle Man took the cake! And we loved it so much (and so did the author) that it spawned a spin-off. THIS ONE!!
Bad Boys & Rock Stars
I read book #1 in this sexy series and loved it (and now that #2 is out, I need to get on it). It’s about two gorgeous guys (actually, identical twins!!). A bad boy, a good boy and a girl caught in the middle. Well, you know… 😉 Not like that. But they’re both perfect in their own way, and not-so-perfect in their own way, too. One’s a total player, and one is “taken”… by her cousin! Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
Sarah: OMG OMG I just finished Down To You and Up TO Me by M. Leighton and I have a serious new book boyfriend I’m in love with Cash!!!! I can’t believe I waited so long to read these I mean DOWN TO YOU was on your top reads for 2012 what the heck was I thinking those books should be my priority 😉 again you never fail me with your recommendations this is why I follow your blog! I just don’t know if I will be able to starts new book I am still stuck on my new book boyfriend Cash Cash Cash 🙂 I can’t believe we have to wait until Sept 3rd for the Everything For Us ugh
I liked it. This one had a consistent flow of realistic “romance with a rock star” drama. Er… wait. What do I know about realistic and rock stars? Ok, you got me. Lemme re-word. It felt realistic. Sure there were a few moments that had me thinking hrmmm… I dunno if that would have happened in real life, but overall, this one never reached that over-the-top too much angst level.
But! There were plenty of angsty moments interspersed nicely throughout. Romance, and then… not-so-romance. Rock stars, and their beautiful fans. Jealousy and game playing. And a famous gorgeous rock star that was keeping a big secret and had a slightly volatile reputation (with tons of speculation).
This YA series (The Jamieson Collection) was suggested for my “ultimate list of rock star reads” by Charity, and Karen listed book #1 (Rock and a Hard Place) in her 2011 top twenty list! They sound like great reads and are officially on my TBR list!
And while the original covers were beautiful, check out their new updated look, now that these books have been picked up by “HarperCollins”. The old covers are still on Amazon, but will be updated once the HarperCollins versions are released. But, we get a first look at them, right here on my blog!!!
It’s no secret that one of my favorite “guilty-pleasure” heroes are the bad-a$$ fighter types. Underground street fighters, cage fighters, MMA, UFC, Boxers, up and comers, and Heavyweight champions… it’s all good to me. I love ’em!! I love watching them on TV and I especially love reading as they find (and attempt to resist) love amidst their chaotic lives. The highs—> super-strength and super-skills, and the lows (or the “fun stuff” if you ask me) —> groupies and anger issues. ‘Cause it’s always that, isn’t it? They’re fighters for a reason, and the tough-guy/bad-boy attitude is irresistible to me. They are the rock stars of their world, the “gladiators” of ours and BIG on protecting those they love. *swoooooon*
