Claire: I just got done with both the first and the second books over the past two days! IMO you definitely can read the second book first— however, two of the main side characters that are in like 50% of the second book are the MFC and MMC in the first book!

Mony: Heartless (Chestnut Springs #2) by Elsie Silver. I really liked this book, particularly the fantastic quirky lines by Willa, the 25-yr-old nanny to 38-yr-old Cade’s heart-stealing son Luke.
Cade’s hot and grumpy, Willa shines, bursting with energy. Wish there were more FMCs like her.

So here’s the plot this book starts where FMCs brother is on his deathbed. he’s the only family member she has left.
The brother asks for his best friend (MMC) to take care of his sister and marry her after his death. The MMC marries his best friend’s sister. After the FMCs brother dies the MMC leaves her.
Few years later FMC has moved on she’s in college finishing her degree or something has great friends and a boyfriend. Despite dating for months she haven’t had a sex with her boyfriend because she once promised her mother to “save herself for her husband”.
