Author K.A. Linde shares her favorite books…

<— First, congratulations to K.A. Linde for her upcoming bad-boy romance book release. Take Me With You releases tomorrow!! He’s the lead singer of a band, and she’s a total good girl college student. It’s book #2 and comes after this one: Take Me for Granted (#1). I LOVE her genre of angst! She turned my world upside down with her Avoiding Series! (Check out my review of book #1: Avoiding Commitment).

And second… did you guys know that she’s an AVID reader? I mean AVID. Sure… she writes angsty contemporary and NA romance and knows all about “bad boy book boyfriends”, but her favorite genre is something else entirely. read more

Book Review – Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins

Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles Book 1)
Seeeee? I’m being good! I’m actually reading from my “to be read” list. Mostly. 😉 Of course, I’ve had a few moments of *squirreling*, reading something shiny and new here and there, but so far, mostly sticking to my TBR list has been awesome. Such as this fun one!

It absolutely definitely reminded me of some of my favorite paranormals that I went nuts for, back in the “day”. You guys had that right! For me, I was getting a mixed feel of “The Fever Series” and “Dark Light” (both of which I LOVED like crazy). And like the first one in both of those series (Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning and Dark Light by S.L. Jennings), this 1st installment too, wasn’t *yet* the “be-all-end-all” book for me. It was, however, a GREAT intro, and I will absolutely be continuing the series! read more

Tahereh Mafi – Shatter Me Series Reading Order

UPDATED 07-1-2022!!! This series started a couple of years ago, but, over the  last month or so, I’ve been hearing lots of AWESOME buzz! Probably due to it’s latest book release.

From the blurb of book #1, it seems to have that older YA/paranormal/dystopian feel, but many in our reading-crew are mentioning #1 book boyfriend, and comparing him to our absolute #1’s (just take a look, below). WHOA!!! I must read this!!!

I know I don’t read that much YA or paranormal these days, but some of ’em are my absolute all-time forever favorites, so I’m ready for this!! Especially considering how it is taking SO many of our fellow readers by storm! read more

Book Review – The Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley

The Golden Dynasty (Fantasyland Series)
What a FANTASTIC fantastic story. To think I missed out on this beauty, intensity and heartbreak over the word “fantasy” for a year or two, when all along, every bit of the “Kristen Ashley fervent alpha-male love story” I was craving was right there, ready and waiting for me. *sigh* Blasted me and my genre-bias!!

And the worst part is I probably won’t learn my lesson. I’ll still shy away from the “fantasy” genre. Except for anything “fantasy” from this author. I. Am. Sold. read more
