Let’s see some fun comments from her over the last year, first (including books and authors that didn’t necessarily make her “Best of 2021” list), but that she still highly recommended this year… 🙂. 😉
I’m mostly Scottish, then English, then Germany and Sweden. But same parts of the world. 100% northern Europe and Scandinavia.
So let’s get to know her better through her latest highlights of the year (P.S. OMG SHE IS MAKING ME HUNGRY!! She’s quite the busy baker… and I would LOVE to try her cooking):
Jan has just sent us her Best of 2019 List, and I’m so thrilled ’cause she’s one of our resident Historical Romance lovers, as well as contemporary goodness, so we get a wide range of awesome romance recommendations. 😀
Jan: I’m currently swinging madly between reading historical romance and contemporary romance. i can’t seem to settle on one genre or the other. Then I think, why settle? Why not just read both? So that’s what I do LOL.
Some days I’m reading about hot, buff guys in hockey pads and then the next day I’m reading about some uber-masculine guy wearing a pink Georgian waistcoat and a wig. Yup. Crazy town.

CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE:
Look the Part by Jewel E. Ann <— First book I’ve read by this author and I really liked it. A lovely, touching story about very real people. Flint feels like deep down he doesn’t deserve to ever be happy again. But Ellen brings the sunshine back to his life. And there’s a really great kid in this book too. (Flint’s young teenaged son).
It’s Jan’s turn, and I love this list!!! I’m seeing some repeats of favorites this year (note-to-self: definite must-reads) and I’m loving all of the new-to-me suggestions too!!!
Jan is a teacher, our resident historical lover, she’s from Australia (it’s summer there, right now!!), and we want to plan a group trip to her house!! Right guys?? *squeee* Jan she delves into all the book genres (as this list will show)!
