reader favorites

YAY Jean!!!! I love that you sent me this fun list, and now we get to add even more new-to-mes on our TBR list for 2016! 😀

“Hi Maryse! So since everyone was posting their 5 star reads for 2015 and the majority of them were on my list too, I figured I would send you my most memorable to mix it up a little.

Here they are in no particular order!”

Cocky Bastard by Vi Keeland <— “loved, loved, loved it! Have you met the goat yet? Hysterical!”

Wither (The Withered Series) (Volume 1) – Amy Miles <— “…absolutely loved it! I could not put it down! Totally reminded me of Until The End Of The World so if you liked that, I highly recommend this one! No cliffhanger, but set up for the next book! Ugh, my heart is on the floor!” read more

It’s Rebecca’s turn!! She’s an active member of our Facebook crew, and she is a serious book-addict (after all, she had already read and loved pretty much all of my favorites) AND still, she was able to create this awesome list for us!!

Ready?

“I really want to add F*ck Love which I started NYE but I guess it really counts for 2016. 🙂

Hi Maryse! Okay- it wasn’t easy. I think my 2015 books read total was 262? That’s a lot of books to narrow down to 10! So, here is my list- I tried to skip those on yours even though I loved all of them too (especially Marrow, The Ground Rules, Jezebel, The Deal, Badger, okay – you get, I loved your list!). So, here are my ten (okay, it’s really 17. Or 18…) – in no particular order! Happy New Year!” read more

You guys!!!! It’s Grey’s turn!! And did you know Grey is a writer too? Winning huge writing competitions a few years in a row and a HUGELY active member of our reading crew. We just adore Grey, and looking at her list below, I can assure you, she has AMAZING taste in books!! 😉 Considering so many are on my 2015 favorites list, too!

Guess what her favorite books are?

“I had a really great 2015 book wise and it was really stupid hard to narrow this down to my top 10 books, I just want you all to know… *side-eyes Goodreads for not helping me out at all here*. So in no particular order… let’s get started, shall we?” read more

Happy New Years Eve everyone!!! I can’t believe a new year is already here, and I’ve still got my enormous TBR list to conquer (YAY for conquering books – that’s my favorite, ’cause it’s so fun!!) 😀 AND! I have a NEW TBR that I’m building from 2016’s pre-orders. OMG there are SO many I’m highly anticipating that I can’t help but think 2016 is going to be a HUGE, book-wise! I’ll post it, soon. 😉

But 2015 was DARN good, too! In fact… I experimented this year, you guys!!! While I normally stick within the contemporary romance genre (with my past focus especially on new adult angst and my beloved bad boys), I dove into all sorts of new-to-mes, and even jumped back into my old-school love of paranormal, horror AND an autobiography or two! read more

Our resident goof-ball, make-up advisor, and angsty-pain loving fellow reader, Amy ALSO has a list of 2015 favorites, to help us with our countdown to 2016!! Amy is one of my frequent buddy-readers, ’cause we love the same kind of books, with the same kind of tear-your-heart-out twists and we’ve been known to enjoy a shocking ending, or two. 😉 Tee hee!!

That said, I’m not the best buddy-reader due to my squirreling… poor Amy. She’s thrown a few peanuts at my head, ’cause of that. LOL! Sorry Amy! One of my New Year’s resolutions is to be a better buddy-reader to you. read more
