Bibi needs our book help! Oh I’ve read a few like this (I LOVE the angel and the human trope SO much!!) and the first one that comes to mind is Jamie McGuire’s Providence series except that she says it’s a standalone and not a series (and all the ones I’ve read in a similar trope is part of a series), so I’m out. LOL!!

Hi,

a really long time ago maybe 10 years, i read a book in Slovene that is called Angel, (i don’t know the english name, if it even exists in English) but i can’t seem to find it anymore. I don’t know the names of characters or even the author. read more

Nags is looking for this one! It’s actually been a question in the past by another reader, but it hasn’t been guessed yet, and this one has a bit more detail, so I’m happy to try again. 🙂

She asks:

I am searching for a book where the heroine was in love with the hero who is her model/beautiful sister’s boyfriend/fiance whereas she was chubby and loves chocolates, she would also leave a chocolate for the hero on his desk.

She grew up to be a ceo of a chocolate company and now she has to get marries to the hero because of some rule in her grandmothers will. She is very self conscious now and comes off as cold in her behaviour to the hero, she also thinks that this is a forced marriage of sorts. read more

Bewaji needs our book help! Oh yeah one of my favorite tropes! The rock star and the regular girl!! LOVE that dynamic and all the angst it can conjure. Yes please!

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

I read this book a long time ago and can’t remember the title.

The H is a rockstar and the h is in the medical field. He will pay her flying visits in between his tours, and she thought he considered her a fling that he touched base with if he was near her city. He didn’t but neither of them communicated clarification. read more

Reader Question – The book where he saves her from assault & she’s deeply traumatized but only trusts him…

Elsa is looking for this one! Oh this definitely sounds like something that we would have devoured from our original indie days!

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

I just stumbled upon your blog, and it’s interesting to see a section where we can ask questions and work together to solve them.

I read this book quite a while ago (before COVID, I think, or even longer). It takes place in a university or college setting and is part of a series. The female lead is nearly sexually assaulted, but the male lead successfully saves her. Because of this, the female lead isn’t afraid of him, even though she is traumatized by other people. read more

Rachel needs our book help! Ohhhhh this one is gonna anger many ’cause it’s going to be hard for a reconciliation/second chance romance considering the other women (even if it was after the fact. BUT!! There’s an interesting twist. 😉

She asks:

Hello.

I’ve been looking for a book and here are some of the details:

MMC is framed to make it look like he cheated. The FMC gets photos of this alleged cheating. They split up and MMC sleeps with others.

FMC is pregnant and has baby. The MMC almost misses the birth, or does because he is sleeping with someone else. read more
