Her mother’s boyfriend beats her. She has outgrown her clothes but buys clothes instead for younger brother, whose clothes are too small for him.

The female main character (FMC) already knows the other woman (OW), (who I believe is the male main character’s (MMC) foster sister. They are both orphans; I think she was adopted, (but he was not) hates her.

FMC is planning a birthday party for MMC, but he has some trauma related to his birthday. During the party, FMC and MMC get into an argument, and either she decides to leave or he tells her to go. read more

She asks:

It’s a sports romance.

Hes a professional basketball player that ends up at some kind of training camp in her small town. They meet and have a great connection then his ex shows up saying she’s pregnant with his kid.

The ex cheated on him and is in a relationship with the new guy. They part ways on good terms.
