Following my heart, one book at a time...
SQUEEE!!!! I just LOVE this author, and can’t get enough of her “Off Campus” series (I devoured and 5-star loved them) and this is the spinoff! 😀 YAY US!!! We’re already two books in and a third up for preorder!
Brandi: I love this series. The Deal us still my ultimate fav but; i think that’s because it started the amazing series and spinoff
Samantha: Omg i am so freaking excited 🙂 i loved the chase & when Summer Moved into the house i was smiling non-stop 🙂
Ginger Scott rocks our romance worlds, and I’m thrilled to present her latest release, The Hail Mary (The Waiting Series Book 3). Not only is she this week’s newsletter sponsor, but we have a very personal guest post by this author, and an excerpt too!
P.S. These must be read in order so here’s the The Waiting Series Reading Order.
Take a look:
Turns out, this was the book I needed to write.
Ginger Scott
That headline sorta wrote itself for me. Ironic. Let me explain. To get there, I’m gonna have to take you back to the very beginning. Some of you may have heard this story before, but there’s more to it now, so I beg you…read on.
I got the writing bug when I was about eleven years old. It was a copy of Judy Blume’s Forever, which…is still one of the best coming-of-age stories written. I got it for a quarter at the Goodwill, and I devoured it and decided I would make something just like that someday.
ANGST ALERT!!! And book #3 JUST WENT LIVE (but this series must be read in order)! No worries, my book-twin, Amy, LOVED the first two, and I trust everything she loves. Also, I love this author so I know right off the bat, that this series will rock my world.
The Waiting Series, which follows high school sweethearts Reed Johnson and Nolan Lennox through football, life, love and everything messy that goes along with it. The series begins with Waiting on the Sidelines and Going Long. Book 3 is for more mature readers and deals with adult themes.
Jen needs our sports romance book help!! Oh oh… is she a groupie and how does he take it? Well first, we need to find the book. 😉
She asks:
Hey Maryse,
I’ve recently been on a sports romance kick and I’m trying to remember a book I read a while ago. It’s been driving me crazy for days so I’m looking for a little help 🙂
I’m pretty sure the main guy is a superstar college athlete (football?) and some type of story/article comes out about them dating and how she’s just interested in successful athletes. She used to date an athlete before him and he didn’t know. I think they break up because of it?
BASEBALL STARS ALERT!!! And not just that, the very first two lines from the synopsis below had me gasping!! Definite blurb-jolt!!
Kathy P: I just finished Catching Caden and Benching Brady by Samantha Christy. They both were really good and I definitely recommend them.
Cheryl: Kathy I read Catching Caden and Benching Brady too and loved them!
About book #1:
If all they see are her scars – they aren’t looking hard enough.
It was my home run ball that shattered her face. Right along with her modeling career. Now it’s my mission to help her rebuild her life. And get her to love the game that she hates.
