<— Oooooooh eeeerieeee!!! I love the sound of this one and I’m excited that the author is this week’s newsletter sponsor ’cause not only has he sent over the blurb, but a short and creepy excerpt that has me wanting more. She’s in college and wakes up one morning and everything is just a bit… off. Is it a psych-thriller? Is it a time travel thriller? Is it horror? What is going on??!!! YES!!! 😀 I love when a blurb jolts me like that! P.S. It’s super-bargain priced today AND it’s in KU!!

Run Away <— Ahhhhh my sister. A girl after my own book-heart. Not only is she into the same genres as I am, she reeeeeads on her vacations!! Oh how I love her, and her book tastes, and YAY FOR US ’cause she’s sent over two reviews of her favorite books she read while on vacation, and both have me bouncing and clapping with glee!! Totally my thing!
And I love the last line of her review. I see what you did there, Jo. Clever. 😉

Chris Wright – Survival Series Reading Order + Five Fun Facts about the series & an excerpt!
<— SCI-FI THRILLER/HORROR ALERT!! This one sounds all sorts of exciting and scary, and when the author (this week’s newsletter sponsor!!! 😀 ) approached me about his series, I couldn’t help but jolt on that short-and-not-so-sweet blurb!! His girlfriend disappeared, and nobody seems to remember her… Eeeeeep!!
P.S. Both books are super-bargain priced today AND they are in KU!! If you’re looking for something different, this just might be for you!
He’s sent over a “Five Fun Facts” about the series to give you a sneak peek behind the series. 😉 Plus a couple of “excerpts” for our taste-testing pleasure. 😀 I absolutely love what he divulges in regards to his approach on this genre!!
Guest Review (my sister!!) – Fool me once by Harlan Coben
Review by Johanne Pearl Couturier
The second book I read on vacation (well, it was the first book in fact but I did not give it 5 stars like I did for Final Girls by Riley Sager) was up to Mr. Coben’s standards, in my opinion at least. He is a very prolific author AND I love almost everything he writes. The minute I get into one of his stories, the mind movie starts. I forget who I am, where I am, that I even exist. From the first line, he sets the tone. By the end of the first page, I’m THERE. We are “God” who knows everything… particularly everything going on in Maya’s head…
L.A. Fiore & Anthony Dwayne’s “Ring Around the Rosey” is LIVE, and we have an exclusive excerpt & a giveaway!!
<— ROMANTIC SEXY SUSPENSE THRILLER ALERT!!! Ring Around the Rosey is LIVE and it sounds SO steeeeeeamy, and *ahem* that excerpt (below) pretty much confirms it. *blush* AND!! It’s available to read on KU, too!!! The authors are this week’s newsletter sponsors and to celebrate their new release, they sent over an exclusive excerpt and an awesome giveaway!!!
Theresa: Just started book. So have not got to steamy parts yet. But so far it is so good. A mystery murder story leading us on. So suspenseful at this point. Gotta keep reading. It was 2:00 am last night when I had to give up for the night.
Jennifer: I just started Ring Around the Rosey and man oh man it’s sucked me in!!! I can’t wait to see where it leads but I have a feeling I’m going to be terrified, mesmerized and in need of a cold shower all rolled into one . I’ve been sucked in since page one. It’s for real getting juicy and creepy as heck!!!
What’s it about?
After tragedy rocks the small town of Danville Creek, best friends Emma Blake and Branch McKenna are ripped from the only homes they’ve ever known.
Twenty years later, they are called back to… Rosey Plantation.
A getaway shared by their parents and… the place they were all found dead.As they get the house ready to sell, they uncover clues to a game—a handcuff key in a trinket box, eye bolts anchored into the basement wall, silk bindings in unusual places—and discover it wasn’t a retreat but a place to play.
While Emma and Branch find solace in one another, and explore some of their own dark fantasies, mysterious things start happening. Convinced they need to play the erotic game, or end up like their parents, their lives start to unravel.
Some say ghosts can haunt, but when the danger becomes real, they find themselves racing against the clock to find the killer among friends before history repeats itself.
Are you ready to play, Ring around the Rosey?
They all fall down.
GAH!! That blurb definitely gave me a jolt so I had to know more!
Maryse: Is it a thriller? It sounds SO good!
L.A. Fiore: It’s a little bit of everything, including paranormal and erotic, but there is a strong suspense/thriller aspect. It was so much fun to write. 🙂
And now for the exclusive excerpt (AND I MUST WARN YOU… it is STEAMING HOT – and I mean blush-worthy!!) *waggles eyebrows* 😉 :
