Reader Question – The book is about a mafia leader who frequents an Italian restaurant and takes notice of a young woman server.

December 22, 2022 By Maryse 19 Comments

Kirsten is looking for this one! This one sounds familiar, but I’m not sure.

She asks:

Hi,

I am on the hunt for a mafia romance book.

The book is about a mafia leader who frequents an Italian restaurant and takes notice of a young woman server. He and his team regularly go to the place. He ends up picking her up when she was walking home in a downpour rainstorm.

Please help!

Thanks!

UPDATE BY KIRSTEN: The girl works at a small family owned Italian restaurant. The guy specifically goes there more regularly once he sees her (and makes the owner nervous). Please help 🙂 read more

Reader Question – The book about the NFL star that is abusive to his wife, and she falls for his teammate…

Alli needs our book help, and her details are short and not-so-sweet! Oh this is right up my alley!!

I love to see abusive characters go down (and the abused characters finding a happy and fulfilling life once again), and I’m hoping this is exactly that!

She asks:

Help!

I read a book about a married couple, I think they had a child. The husband plays for the NFL and he is abusive.

The female mc falls for his teammate

Anyone have a guess?

Reader Question – The book about the small town star that cheated on her with the mean girl… and married her.

Amy needs our book help! Ohhhhh these angsty romance reads, full of heart-ache and Kindle throwing scenes! I remember so many books with a similar premise, so I feel like I’ve read this one for sure. This feels like a book I read back between 2011 to 2013.

Makes me think of J. Sterling’s The Perfect Game: (my book review) (baseball star!) or maybe even Avoiding Commitment (my book review) (but I’m really not sure). Even The Player Next Door (my book review) has a similar feel to this. Yep… I really LOVED that one big time! read more

Reader Question – The book about the heroine that has a skin disorder where she can’t go out into the sun…

Maxine needs our book help! This one sounds pretty unique… and after the details provided below, I’m wondering if she’s human. 😉

She asks:

Hi!

Really enjoy your blog and hope you are feeling better 😊

I am trying to recall a book (think it’s the first in a series) and could use some help!

The heroine has a skin disorder call XP – xeroderma pigmentosum which is rare and doesn’t allow her to go out in the sun. She works at home and runs alone at night in the woods.

She catches the attention of the hero who leads/is part of a group who are either genetically enhanced or shifters (I can’t remember which!) and romantic suspenseful drama ensues. read more

Reader Question – The biker book where she goes to the clubhouse to serve papers, and plays pool with the Prez…

December 14, 2022 By Maryse 2 Comments

Lynn needs our book help! Kind of “short and sweet” but maybe something here will spark your memory?

She asks:

Hello,

looking for a book.

My biker romance where a women goes to MC clubhouse to serve papers (I think). She needs the job and I think is hired by Cartel.

At the clubhouse the president plays pool with her, flirts and she ends up staying with him.

All I remember

Anyone have a guess?
