Julie O: I want to know when she is going to get back to the Skin and Flesh Series? Those are my favorite books of hers. Nobody writes romance and zombies better. If you don’t mind would you please see if you can find out anything. Would really appreciate.

Movie Review – The Girl With All the Gifts (written by M.R. Carey)

How could I possibly resist THIS “Hannibal Lecter” touch? I could not. 😉

The Girl With All the Gifts <— OMG I was DYING to read this. I one-clicked this book back October of 2015 (yep… for Halloween – what perfection! Especially when I read this chilling blurb):

Melanie is a very special girl. Dr Caldwell calls her “our little genius.”

Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don’t like her. She jokes that she won’t bite, but they don’t laugh.

The Girl With All the Gifts is a groundbreaking thriller, emotionally charged and gripping from beginning to end.

Talk about a blurb-jolt. THAT is what I’m talking about when I want to be enticed to read something. Short and sweet (er… not so sweet, in this case) but totally loaded in thrill-potential, and doesn’t really tell me anything other than… OMG I HAVE to find out what this means!!! read more

<— Remember the first one? The zombie that still had feelings, and a certain amount of consciousness and befriends a human girl? And what had me the most interested was not that it was a love story during a zombie apocalypse. Nope. No. I mean, an actual LOVE STORY between a human girl, and a zombie. *gasp*!!! I was SO IN!!! Sarah Lyons Fleming – Until the End of the World Series Reading Order

Zombie series that Amy found for us and loved, and sure enough, Tessa and Michelle are loving it, too!! And book #3 was just released!!

Amy: Ladies, I’m reading And After by Sarah Lyons Fleming, the second book in her Until the End of the World series. This was a random-pick read for me as I was in one of those moods where the thought of starting *anything* was overwhelming. I KNOW y’all know how those moods are. I read the first book a while back and figured I’d catch up on the series since I actually wanted something a little lighter. I know, what’s up with that sh!t…me actually wanting something light and picking a zombie book for that purpose. *giggle* read more
