Merry Christmas Maryse! It’s still early in the morning out here in Oregon, so my house is actually quiet at the moment. So I’m reading. Decided to start Kristen Ashley’s the Burg series today. I hear it’s great and she’s one of my favorites! Hope you enjoy this holiday and get to spend beautiful moments with your family and friends. Thank you for all the joy and fun you bring to all of us through all things books!

Merry Christmas, hope everyone had a great holiday!! I’m almost finished with the Here and Now series by Lexi Ryan. It is just what I was looking for when I said I wanted a love-triangle story. All 3 books are a high angst filled ride. Reminds me some of Thoughtless-one of the guys is a rock star and maybe also some of The Opportunist/Dirty Red. The first book Lost in Me is free. π
Oh Michelle – I absolutely LOVED the Burg series… especially book two and book four… just awesome. I am reading the After series, because i have no patience and it was dangled out there…. so far so good. It could be a lot shorter. There’s a lot of the same dialogue over and over and over and over. 600 pages and a big ole’ publisher – I would have cut that sucker down!!

Merry Christmas! It was a great but as usual hectic day! I haven’t been doing much reading but am armed with more gift cards now π
Cheryl, I had Lost in Me in my endless free book pile but did have it sorted out in my top tbr folder so I moved it up even more when I heard the magic angst word!
MichelleS I started to read the free version of the After series on Wattpad but it didn’t hold my attention. I wonder how different it is from the published version? I wasn’t paying that price to try the series. I will go back and finish the first book after my current read before I give my final verdict.

Oh and MichelleS I did finish the Edgelander book I posted about earlier and it was a fantastic read for me. I would describe it as a fantasy book first with PNR weaved into the story. It kinda has a Game of Thrones feel but with werewolves, elves, mages, trolls, etc. thrown in the mix. I already bought the next book to read and really think it will end up being a great series.

Merry Christmas to you all. I treated myself for Christmas by starting a re-read of the Fallen Crest series for a sixth time. (I’m slightly addicted) Much hugs everyone! *hugs*

Merry Christmas to you, Maryse, and Happy New Year. It hasn’t been the easiest of Christmases this year for my family, but I still have a lot to be thankful for, the reason for the season being number one. *hugs*
Michelle – started Edgelanders last night, so only 16% in Just love the world she is building, and I can tell I’m going to fall for Finn. I hope we get to meet some elves! And some good writing…. YES!
I had to put down After… I’ll try to finish at some other time. I couldn’t handle one more scene of “I hate you. You’re a jerk. Okay. I forgive you.” Too much … maybe a high schooler would enjoy that kind of thing.

Yey MichelleS I really loved it! It really unique as far as the mix of fantasy and PNR. Finn I adored since he had the vulnerable alpha thing going on. I even liked his immaturity since he felt like a real character to me faults and all. It’s a great set up for the series and I just found it refreshing. Oh and sexy elf is coming and will stir things up! Ughh yes After I tried again last night to read and put it back down. Totally agree it’s just too high school and grates on my nerves! Unfortunatley I stand by never DNF for books so I have to finish but it will be in tiny bouts…
A sexy elf???? WOO HOO. Is he going to give Rammel Hawking a run for his money? I love the names and the history and all of it. Great recommendation!

Well you do not get to learn too much about him but the next book sets up that he has a major role. He sounded yummy with his lavender eyes. I liked all the characters and wanted to learn more about them so hope to read book 2 soon. I’m still working on Station Eleven and then I want to see if Fabi would like to start the Tairen Soul series with me. I’m in the mood for more fantasy and more fae/elves!
Michelle – you’ve never read Tairen Soul? If you like Edgelanders then you should love TS. And it has some seriously yummy Fae – and eventually elves too. It’s 5 books, but well worth it. A bit slow to start, to build the world and the history, but then it takes off. My absolute favorite fantasy series of all time!! yay!! Maybe I’ll join you…. (and I haven’t met the elf yet – but Finn is enough for now…. love him…).

It’s been on my tbr forever and I know I will love it – I bought all the books a long time ago. Yeah join in if you want to read them again. I haven’t heard from Fabi so I think she is busy but she wanted to read them too. I’m starting tomorrow night. Um the elf doesn’t appear until I think right before the half way mark.
