Well, it’s been a long two weeks of work, overtime, and biz trips. Exhausting (but fun, at least the biz trips were), however my reading has taken a serious back seat to all of this “being responsible” activity. I have received so many new book recommendations over the last two weeks that I’m dying to get to (both paranormal and rock star books!).
And of course, I’m still on the lookout for Travis-type books (Beautiful Disaster for those of you who don’t know about him yet). Hopefully there will be a few in this upcoming mix that will put me (and all of you) in a reading frenzy again. I miss that. I had the best summer ever, ’cause July and August, I was caught in an emotional hurricane of non-stop fantastic books! Each new book I picked up was as good as the last. We were all in a no sleep, sob-fest, falling-for-every-bad-boy-hero virtual “book club” together and we were having such a GREAT time!!
I miss us!! I miss that intensity, and all those panic attacks, and silly book discussions we were all having together. I so need another adrenaline rush. Who needs life-threatening sky-diving, bungee jumping and spelunking, (tee hee! That word makes me giggle so I had to use it 😉 ) when we have all of these bad-boys giving us that same rush, right!?
And guess what!? I have a couple of months of “normal” work schedule, so that means I’ll probably get in tons of good reading! I’m on it guys. I got this.
In the meantime, I’m finishing up J.R. Ward’s Envy: A Novel of the Fallen Angels, and really really liking it. I haven’t freaked out yet, but it is most certainly holding my attention. And I’ve had two girls tell me that the Envy “freak-out” will happen, so I think I’m coming up on it 😉
Okay, hugs to you all! I have to catch up on some reading.
Mark my words. There are good times ahead, girls 😉
