Jacee: it’s very good! Made me cry!
bev: I really liked it, read in one sitting, and went and put another of hers on hold. But it is YA, gentler than some you like, and the author does have a distinct style…

I was ALL IN…as in as stayed up to 3am to finish it ALL IN! And I Loved it! I LOVED how they FELL, loved how DEEP and completely he LOVES, loved how strong she is…All kind of FEELS packed into this great read…several bawling moments, laughter, and meltie moments BUT …life is a roller coaster ride…you can either stay on the ground and watch or jump on the ride and throw your hands in the air! - Tastes Like Candy (Lean Dogs Legacy Book 2) by Lauren Gilley <— GRITTY BIKER SERIES ALERT! Jan130 is a new recruit (<— Haha!! See what I did there) in our Lauren Gilley gritty, SUPER-well-written, biker-book love! In fact, she’s been reading the Dartmoor series AND it’s spinoff completely out of order, and is LOVING them anyway! 😀 P.S. Here’s the reading order (and here is the latest book, also on Amazon UK)
Jan130: I did try a sample of Lauren Gilley’s Tastes Like Candy (Lean Dogs Legacy Book 2) (just out last week) and LOVED IT!! So I bought it and have dropped all of my other reading and dived into the dark and sca-ee MC world of Lauren Gilley.
Now I’ve gone back to the start with Fearless – book 1 in Gilley’s Dartmoor series. (Taste Like Candy is in a spin-off series). OMG. So good. Big, long, well-written meaty book a la Kirsten Ashley, believable (if scary!!) characters. Slightly taboo :-/ Main protagonists are seventeen and thirty when they first hookup eeeek! But so right for each other. There’s some violence too. :-/ But I’m luvvin these books and fully intend to read them all.
I’ve tried quite a few ho-hum MC series, and also some that are just TOO gritty and OTT for me. My favs (till now) are Jo Wylde and KA. But now I have a NEW FAVE. Yay me.
Maryse: We loved Fearless, here!!! So glad you’ve discovered her, Jan130!
Jan130: Thanks Maryse. So many goodies I would never have discovered without this group.
Ela: Lauren Gilley totally rocks! I started reading her non MC books as well!
MichelleS: I, too, am in Lauren Gilley’s amazing MC Club world. I loved all of the Dartmoor Series, and am reading the latest in the spin-off series, Lean Dogs.
Lisa: Jan!! So glad your reading and loving the Dartmoor series. I lost myself in Lauren Gilley MC land earlier in tbe year and Im all caught up and waiting for the release of Loverboy. Havent read Snow In Texas (Lean Dogs Legacy Book 1) or Tastes Like Candy yet…..but I think Bev read Snow and liked it. Yay. Book love!!
Jan130: Hey Lisa. Yeah, I’m right into it. Book love to the max. I think Fearless: The Complete Novel (Dartmoor Book 1) might have been my fav read for May. Tastes Like Candy is really great too. Candyman is hot *fans self*. But I haven’t been as hooked by Snow In Texas. About Mercy’s brother Colin, so still pretty hot *fans self again* but something about the setting didn’t sit right with me from the start and it just hasn’t been as awesome as the others. And Colin is a bit unsure of himself at times and not always that bada** alpha we love to love. Still a good read, though.
Without meaning to, I’ve been reading them out of order. I loved Walsh’s story as well (Dartmoor Bk 3 Skeleton King) but haven’t read Price of Angels Bk 2 yet LOL. So I’ve had some spoilers about books I haven’t read yet. Never mind. I am eagerly whipping through them all and also looking forward to Lover Boy even though I haven’t even read all the others yet LOL. There is also another Lean Dogs on the cards, I believe. Sweeeeet. Lisa – try out Taste of Candy. You’ll lerrrve Candyman

Oh DG yes that one looks SO good!!! I highlighted it in my mini-blurb jolts on Tuesday (or last week?)… THANK YOU for the feedback!
My name is Linda and I’m a sucker when a fellow reader is using caps in her review to emphasize the love for a book!!!! Thank you DG!!!!! Why of course I one clicked!!!!
Maryse…I am sooo behind on everything….the price we pay *sighing dramatically*…when we vacay! Anywho…done milking that excuse….
Linda! Yay! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did…make sure to keep a box of Kleenex handy…the beginning…yeah…a big ball of bawling my eyes out mess! But oh SO good!
I have a little catching up to do on the Maddox brothers. I think I’m behind 1 book and a novella. Thank you for posting the reading order list!
My pleasure, Fabi! I’m behind on one of the twins… and I think Thomas’s book. And the latest Wattpad read. 😀
Me Before You is our date-night movie tonight!!! 😀 I. Can’t. Wait.
And WHAT is up with the title of the new Travis book?? Maybe if I actually caught up on the other books then I would have a clue… 😉 Although, I have been reading the Travis and Abby chapters on Wattpad and it has been SO fun being back with them.
Oh boy Amy… that’s gonna be a sob-fest. An entire theatre… snorting and sniffling.
Men too.
Hubby is going to cry. I just know it. Big, tattooed guy sniffling and wiping his eyes… *giggle*
OMG Amy, I’d go just to watch the two of you!
What’s really funny is he usually carries my purse out of the theater for me so I can keep eating the popcorn and drinking the soda, so he’s going to be all weepy and carrying a purse, LOL!!!!!
*snort*
And you’re gonna be shoveling in popcorn and side-eyeing your man. Tee hee!!!!
I wish someone would take a picture for us.
Amy, do you have Alamo Drafthouse movie theaters where you are? Crying is less embarrassing if you’re tanked!
LOL!!!!!!
I think it gets worse, when you’re tanked. But then you forget and all is well. 😉
But then… you have to go back and see the movie again.
Truth!
LMAO AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can I tag along with the 2 of you to the movies? Just pretend I’m your popcorn and drink holder???? That way you can carry your own purse and the hubs won’t look AS BAD sobbing and sniffing!
I’m very interested in this new Maddox brothers book! Some of the brothers’ books didn’t work for me but then again HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU COMPARE TO TRAVIS AND ABBY???? YOU KNOW HOW? YOU. CAN. NOT. COMPARE.!
EX.ACT.LY. !
😛
Beautiful Funeral?!?! WTH?!?! I’m scared!
I want a picture of Amy’s husband sobbing while carrying her purse! That would be priceless!
I’ve been MIA here lately, but am immersed in the Gentry Boys series (thanks to Fabi)! And loving book 2 (Risk) because Creed is the most broken of the boys and I LOVE him!!
Awwww Jean. Major luffs to ya girl. You read the Caged series and now the Gentry Boys. *hugs happy self*
OMG…..The Devil’s Blaze MC series is the best I’ve read in YEARS!!!!! I haven’t even gone thru your list, Maryse. I saw Katie’s recommendation & HAD to comment.
Can’t wait for Me Before You to release here! Still about two weeks away 🙁
Read The Substitute a while ago and really enjoyed it. <3
Alright, Tyrant just went to the top of the MUST READ NOW books. I’m grinning like a loon with how good it was. (I know. After that ending, I’m smiling. I’m weird.) I can see why you all went nuts with that CH though. *snickers*
King, I did have a question if anyone sees it in the spoiler. Something that I must have read wrong.
My daughter and I are going to see Me Before You. I think she’s looking forward to watching me sob, but my money’s on her crying too. How can you not?!!
Cheryl, I want to take my daughter, but she is fascinated with watching me cry. As in, she’ll turn sideways in her chair and stare at me! So I try to hold it in the whole time until I can’t and then I do that ugly crying gasp thing that echoes through the whole theater. I think she can wait for In Demand!
I’ll *try* to snap a pic. 😉
Seriously? A theater that serves alcohol?? Holy moly!!!! Hey, hubby can be DD and I’ll sneak a flask into the theater with me. On second thought…drunk ugly crying in public. Noooooooope. I have SOME dignity after all.
I think I may spend this weekend catching up with the Maddox brothers. There was something on the Wattpad story that I think would make more sense if I was caught up with them…
I, unfortunately have no dignity left…
Best theater ever. Full bar, waitstaff, killer food. And alcoholic milkshakes! If one pops up near you, go!! https://drafthouse.com
The Sky is Everwhere, so good. I loved the “Bat bat bat”
Beautiful Funeral. Hmmmm. Yeah, the Maddox brothers are hot. Yeah, I did like Beautiful Disaster. But I tried bk 2, Beautiful Redemption, and found it hard to get into. WTH with all this FBI stuff? A bit unbelievable to me. I didn’t like it enough to keep going with the series *ducks* Alright already!! No need to throw peanuts!!!
OK, with all the love around here, maybe I’d better go back and have another look. Maybe It’s time to reread Beautiful Disaster, and see if I can get properly hooked on the series. (Gotta finish those Lauren Gilley MC books first, though!)
Jan I liked BD and read the sequel,ok read. I tried one of the other brother’s books and one other of hers and just couldn’t get into them.
May try the brothers again….someday. But the premise of one of them kinda put me off.* shrug*
I’ll be reading Beautiful Funeral (oxy moron?) cos Ive read the entire series except the Wattpad one.
I too struggled with the brothers….they were a bit interchangable to me, could have all been the same person….but Travis and Abby can’t be matched.
A few years back I found the first two books in paperback on special and bought them knowing nothing of them. Ofcourse I devoured them and promptly commenced re-reading.
Actually it might be that book that led me here to Maryse with the ‘What to Read After Beautiful Disaster’ list. Double reason to love it.
LOL Lisa. Think I was looking for more good rock star books when I stumbled on this blog. Or maybe more MC books? Not sure. But it was sweet serendipity.
Yes indeed Jan. It was either Travis or Kellan from Thoughtless that led me here !!! 😉
OMG! R Renee – this is the first I have heard of a drafthouse theater! What an amazing concept…I am sure so many more adults would be hitting the movies around here if we had one!
I am so frustrated. still. Very. Frustrated. I read Waiting on April yesterday. And now I am frustrated. I really enjoyed it…boarder line loved it…stayed up late for it…not sure what to think about the ending…or is it truly the ending…who knows?!? Yes, I know there is another book BUT it is about a different character…just very frustrated…
So now I am going to hunt me down a simple feel good book…I need closure…endorphins…desperately…
Maybe some bearded men…yum….
With hopefully tattoos…
Who look like Stu….double yum…
Read Grin and Beard it DG and get yourself some lumbersexual in your life 😉
DG, once you try it, you can’t go back! It’s how I made it through Lord of the Rings. *ducks from thrown objects*
It’s not the best for big action movies that might be better suited for IMAX, but movies like MBY are perfect there!
R…sounds like the PERFECT place to view Fifty!!!! *ducks head and giggles*
Lisa! Great minds think a like! I just one clicked Grin and Beard It…love some Penny Reid….and something about those Lumberjacks…umm, Lumbersex…ummm, Lumbersexual…yep, that’s it! Still picturing him looking like Stu (most perfect looking man on earth to me!…sigh)
It was DG! My husband said he loved it too, but he was drinking martinis so he’d probably love anything at that point!
OK…now I REALLY want one of those come next February! And I bet there are not any even remotely close! Goggling closest locations…..
And they are ALL out west…and I am east! Darn it! Really need to check into a trip to visit friends in Austin…around release time!
They used to only be in Austin, but now they’re popping up all over the place. It is the coolest. And they will toss your butt out if you use a cell phone. A while back they did it to one girl who wouldn’t stop texting. She called them and left the best drunk message just reaming them for kicking her out. It became the “no cell policy” announcement before all the movies! Now huge celebrities make them for them! Here’s the link for the original. It’s the best!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVz-fO7kxcQ
I bet they’re east soon! Come to TX and stay with me! I’ll take you 🙂
R – LMAO, that is hilarious! Aww, R you are the best! If I get out that way, I am definitely taking you up on that movie!
Happy Saturday!! Just finished reading Learning To Breathe. Although I expected all kinds of angst, I didn’t feel anything gut-wrenching or have the ugly cry because I think I just didn’t connect too much with the MC’s. Maybe if I had read the series it was a spin-off from I would have. Yes, it had heartache and sadness, but overall it was just ok and I found myself skimming to get to the end.
So much to do today and then hopefully tonight will pick my next read. No idea what yet.
Thank you Cheryl, my guinea piggie friend. 😉 so it sounds like I need to read the series it spun off from in order to get the full ugly-cry effect…
Okay, Me Before You movie verdict…
It’s good (how can you NOT love Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin??) and it felt like a nice, summarized version of the book. No ugly cry though because there just wasn’t enough time in it to build up their relationship for the emotional wallop, nor was there enough time to throw in all the little scenes and side stories which gave the book it’s charm. I had a few tears (because Sam Claflin…and then Emilia Clarke SOBBING in that scene on the beach near the end and him bellowing her name, GAH!!!) but it was remembering the actual BOOK which made me really cry when we came home.
All in all, it was really nice to re-live a condensed version story in a quick manner.
And I caught hubby sniffling a couple of times. 😉
Finished Angel of Redemption last night and loved it!! Its 600 pages long but it never drags. I don`t remember who suggested this book but whoever it was THANK YOU! It took me out of my book slump so yaay!
Starting Mr O next. I can’t believe I haven’t read it since I loved Big Rock!
Speaking of Beautiful Disaster I think a re-read is in order. I read it when it first came out and haven’t read it again since. Love me some Travis!
OH! Then we went out to eat at this little hole-in-the-wall place after the movie, and THIS song came on…
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EdBym7kv2IM
GAHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I’m looking forward to our next buddy read. Bev picked (sort of), then Maryse picked…who’s next? What’s next?
I think we could also all plan ahead and get caught up on the Maddox series so we can all BR Beautiful Funeral for Maryse’s birthday. What do y’all think?
LOL Fabi! I read that “buddy-read” comment a bit too quickly and only saw: “Beautiful funeral for Maryse…”
*snort*
I was all… *gasp* WHAT?!!!
Jean, I am also reading the “Gentry Boys” love them, I am at present reading FALL book four I have really enjoyed this series.
Lauren, the Devil’s Blaze Series is awesome I finished that series last week. I just love those BAD BOY books…yum yum!
Fabi, I saw in a comment last week, where you talked about having a list of 28 all time favorite books including “Surviving Raine”, would you mind to share your list with us? I haven’t read Surviving Raine yet and wondered how many more great books out there, I haven’t read.
Thanks.
LisaKay, I just started Game today. I loved Creed! Who is Fall about?
Very lazy day so far, but finished a book.
I think I’m going to go with Sawbones as my next read……..or Everything Everything.
Hahaha Maryse. It’s because you just came from a book where birthday= funeral.
LisaKay. Fall is my favorite of the four books! I think it’s because it had been a while since I’d read the first three so I really enjoyed catching up with everyone. Besides…talk about broken but strong. *sigh*
Maryse has a wonderful list of our favorites. She featured us on consecutive Saturdays. Super cool. Let me find the link for you. BRB
Help Maryse…I can’t find the lists you created for our favorites. I never bookmarked mine and I remember you creating a link to all of ours but now I can’t find it in my mrss of bookmarks.
LisaKay, this is mine on GR, but Maryse’s lists are more fun. 🙂

mrss = mess (in case you were wondering) *sigh*
Jean “Fall” is about Declan Gentry the cousin, it is really good so far and according to Fabi, very good!
Thanks Fabi for the link to the list, I very much appreciate it. A big thank you to Maryse as well. I am looking forward to reading some of the books on it! Have a great weekend my fellow readers….:)
In the middle of Everything Everything. It’s sweet. I love that it has little sketches and hand written notes in it. Since its sweet I’m reading Sawbones next–supposed to be pretty gritty.
Amy, I agree I didn’t have the big ugly cry either at MBY movie. I can’t say I was disappointed to not sob in public. I can’t say that I really missed the lack of the side stories. I think what was truly significant, their relationship was pretty true to the book. No mention of his sister, although I thought at first the girl opening the door at the end was her. Overall, good book–> movie.
I think I might read the MBY sequel now.
YES!! Lets BR Beautiful Funeral for Maryse’s online birthday celebration (sshhh lets hope its not Travis’ funeral or this could all go terribly wrong).
LMAO, Lisa……You got to admit it would be pretty funny.
Ahhh Declan….I’d been wondering about him LisaKay. Looks like I’ll be jumping right into Fall next.
I’m in for the BR of Beautiful Funeral! I’m all caught up on the series except the Wattpad book. Is that something I need to read?
Errrr DG….who is ‘Stu (the most perfect looking man on earth)’?
Oh my goodness! I left the world behind and just insanely and obsessively devoured all 12 Poldark books because the TV series ended on a cliffhanger and I am CRAZY! Now I am so hungover I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m reading Mister O because I never got to it before. I’m not sure if I’m in the right mind for it at the moment though.
DG – SOLD! I just grabbed TOHofM because somehow you made making me cry sound really good!
I picked up the 2 lean dogs books. Question? I read all but the 4th Dartmoor. Can I move over to the lean dogs without confusion or story gaps?
Missed you all!!!!
Hey Grace. Lean Dogs Legacy is a spin off and set in another chapter of the Lean Dogs. They mention Dartmoor but if you’re up to date with Ava and Mercy’s story you’re good to go with Legacy. Im reading Tastes like Candy and the H is hawt. 😉
Thanks Lisa! I love that I asked AFTER I bought them. LOL!
Amy, that song always makes me sad, especially after watching the music video. I did love the soundtrack to MBY. My daughter and I just saw XAmbassadors in concert- really good; what a voice and the one brother in the band is blind and plays the keyboard!
Good Morning!
Good morning!
Cheryl you saw xambassadors in concert! I’m jealous. 🙂
‘morning Bev, ‘morning Tessa
Good morning to YOU! 😀
Cheryl…I loved the soundtrack for MBY! Looks like I’ll be shopping on iTunes today. 😉 And yes, the video for The Scientist…so unique in how everything is in reverse and then…yeah, we find out THAT at the end. 🙁 Wow, a blind keyboardist (is that a word?)…kudos to that amazing guy!
☺ I just finished Tyrant and it was so good. That and King combined make an awesome story. My favorite throughout, though, was Preppy. He was pure, sick-twisted awesome.
I guess I need to see The Scientist video.
Tessa, I thought Lawless was book 3 of that series?
I want to start Sawbones tonight. Someone should read it with me….just, well just because. Just dive in.
Started looking at last year’s favorites lists.
So many I put on my tbr because you ladies loved them and I still have not read them.
*shakes head*
Sunday afternoon and what do I do? Go and see that damn movie again with my friend whose hubby wouldn’t go with her. I held it together until she sobbed, out loud, before she had a chance to cover her mouth. Then *I* lost my sh!t.
So I tell her right when the credits start rolling that she has to read the book. What’s her response?
“F$&k you and your book!” loudly, as she tosses a bunch of popcorn on me.
I love her. 😉
*goes to look up Sawbones*
Omg Amy! Lol
Ok…I need the blanket, Manny, and a fifth. Why does my friend’s B&N have One True Loves early? WHY?? I don’t understand. I feel so betrayed. I’M the reason she even loves TJR!! I feel like drowning myself in a pool of Fruity Pebbles.
Lol, I’ve heard of that happening. Stores accidentally stocking books early.
I can remember getting books and dvds early when ordering from amazon, trying to make there promised send by date.
Amy, that’s great you went with her.
I want to live next to Amy.
Your friend sounds awesome, but she’d probably scare me.
It’s not fair!! And my husband is looking at me like I’m crazy and I just really need a hug.
R…you’re gonna have to share Manny with me right now ’cause I’m having my own post-movie cry right now, and we are definitely sharing that fifth…don’t care what it is. 😉 I want to start it on Tuesday BUT I am supposed to BR Unbreak My Heart with MARYSE on Tuesday. Unless she already read it and didn’t tell me. *side-eyes Maryse* In which case the earrings are coming off…then I’ll have to hide them because she’ll get all “shiny!” on me and take them. 😛
Awwww Bev, luffs ya. You know what, there is a house for sale right across the street from me… 😉
Ok. I’ll share. Manny. But I’m bringing a 2nd 5th when I move! Vodka, I think. And do you live near a Barnes and Noble?
She did. She did read it.
What?? WHAT?!??
MARYYYYYYYYYYSE!!! Where are you?!?
I’m here Amy!! 😀
I’m reading (not our buddy read!! I promise)…
And we’re getting a tropical storm here by tomorrow so I’ve been tying up a few loose ends here in case I run out of electricity.
Now I’m backtracking through the comments…. 😉
R…yep, we have a B&N about 10 minutes away. 😀
I’m still looking for your, Maryse! Are your ears burning? Are they?? Are they?!?
It’s the B&N we are to meet at if there is a zombie apocalypse.
Ahhh. Thanks for the memo Bev. I’ll bring the drink umbrellas.
And I’ll bring Manny, all of my nail polish, and all of my liquor. That’s right…the essentials.
No one damage that B&N! We’re going to need it if all my books are right. We are on the brink of the zombie apocalypse!
Alright, in my defense, Nick chronicles does have a zombie apocalypse at one point. Finally reading Invision. ☺
Fabi, book three is Lawless, but it’s about Near. King and Tyrant are about King and Doe. I’ll get to Lawless soon.
It would be weird to kidnap TJR and bring her, right? Yeah. Don’t answer. I’m pretty sure it would be weird to bring her. Or not bring her. I’m so confused. I’ll DM her…
🙁 you’re reading Invision already and I have to reread the previous one before this one.
Ooh!! And Colleen Hoover ’cause she seems like such a sweetheart…and some of us can’t go long without a CH book fix anyway.
Aw crap, Tessa…you just reminded me that I still need to read Tyrant. 😕
Ok. I’ll do it, but I’m bringing Emma Scott too, since we don’t seem to be worried about the repercussions.
Snort! I know just how your friend felt Amy. I honestly think I have said that exact thing to the screen of my iPad more than once.
That should totally be a list in here: Books that will make you curse us for recommending them.
I know that back in my stalking and no talking days I learned the hard way that I had to be more careful about the variety of recommendations I found on here. Some of you scare me with how much you enjoy your heartbreak.
Sawbones, huh? ‘Outlander meets post-Civil War unrest’ claims the blurb. I’m officially intrigued.
Hey Grace, welcome back after your Poldark-fest. You have my respect for reading them all!
*bows down before Grace in admiration*
What did you think of them? My fear about the books was that they might be too dated.
There IS a list like that one here! 😀 I think Maryse named it the “I’ll never forgive you for recommending that” list or something like that. I’ll try to find the link for you.
And by the way, I think it’s pretty great that you’re no longer in your stalking and no talking days. 😉
But…..what if we don’t like their books?? We wouldn’t be able to say anything.
I always think of the music. Man I’d miss the music if the zombie apocalypse happened. I mean, yes, people would still make music. …..but never being able to hear certain songs sung by certain people. Like John Lennon, his voice is…..can give me shivers.
I have had the first two Poldark books downloaded forever. Sometime……
We could totally say something!! Plus if we didn’t like their response we could tie them down or something. Wait…did I say too much?
Grace, where you stalking Amy? Lol.
Someone hide the hammers.
Here it is!! 😀
https://www.maryse.net/books/book-recommendations/the-ill-never-forgive-you-for-recommending-this-to-me-hardcore-angst-book-list.html
Amy – I should have known!
Jan – I was beyond rational with my need to know what happens. I obviously thought it worth it because I did not stop until I’d read every last word. Hubby kept asking how much longer till the end. That’s how you know I was really affected by the up and downs.
I don’t think you would find them dated per say, but they would probably drive you insane because they were a mess! Have you ever read one of those little tests with utterly misspelled words that tell you that if you can read this you have a strong mind? Reading these books was just like that. Not just grammatically insane, but at times entire words were wrong. I honestly think someone scanned these books, but never actually looked at them much less edited them. For example the word “die” was often confused with the word “the” and vice versa. Which took thought to unscramble. Also words were misspelled in ways that the letters when combined kind of looked like the correct ones, but really weren’t. Commas who needs them! Impossible spacing and conversations were a crapshoot to follow. You just had to know the character to know who was talking. It could have been maddening, but I was obsessed with the story and could not be deterred. I seriously think you might have pulled your own hair out Jan.
For me the greatest sin was that Demelza has black curly hair and dark eyes. Ross is perfect so my mental image of him was exactly what I needed it to be, but I had to keep fixing the picture of Demelza. I managed though. 🙂
Amy!!! Ha Ha Ha! The first book!!!!
“But…..what if we don’t like their books?? We wouldn’t be able to say anything.” <——- Dang, I didn't think about that. 😕
MBY? I know!!!!
Grace
“Some of you scare me with how much you enjoy your heartbreak”
I feel exactly the same way LOL
Those books you just finished? A huge thank you for pointing out the editing – I would have gone postal had I tried to read that.
I’m bringing Santino Hassel. Don’t worry about not being able in front of him. He will be relegated to the quiet corner so he can write, write and write some more. In fact, I think he may have to pay for bathroom breaks with a completed chapter.
*Evil Reader*
R. Renee If we’re bringing our beloved authors we have to bring some muso’s too. I’ll go nuts without tunes.
Plus we better add KA to our list and Anne Bishop. And wow, how could we forget Jamie McGuire (bonus- she’s written about Zombies she’d totally know what to do).
Grace, a recent review of the book. I suggest clicking the link to the recaps of the show they did. They are really fun—I weird but I enjoy recaps. Especially These.
https://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/reviews/poldark-winston-graham-draft/
Stealing Harper and Taking Chances wrecked me, and I almost stopped stalking after that. I blamed you, Mayse, for every ounce of my pain. I was never the same again. Never!
😉
LOL Grace!!! Gasp!!!!
*big squeezey hug to you*
Ohhhh!!! I love that Bev!!!
That book …..grr. Did not like. At all. Grr.
The “heroine” should of totally bit the dust in that book.
*drags Ilona Andrews, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Tijan and RK Lilley to the pile* Hey, Kenyon writes about apocalypse all the time, and with Ilona Andrews, you get a husband wife team who talk about apo… I see a pattern with my reading. 😛
Fabi! The last one was okay, but not my favorite. Its a big change book. Still a lot of action, and not slow, but just nbot as good as the rest. This one so far. *shrugs* No clue but good so far. 😛 I’m at 24%.
Amy, uh… Dark Elements after Tyrant! Seriously, Tyrant helped that wondrous CH that King ended with. Also it did end the story. No CH in Tyrant.
Maryse…phew!! *wipes forehead and relaxes* Thought I was going to be on my own for that one. 😉 Okay, you can go back to your reading (which is…?) now that I’m through angrily stomping around here.
Tessa…I know as soon as I crack open that first DE book, I’ll be done for. That ALWAYS happens with JA fantasy/PNR/sci-fi books. 😀
My husband says he’s coming to the bookstore and bringing Bear Grylls with him. Apparently, we are all going to die while reading unless something is done to sustain us. LOL!
What/who is “Bear Grills”?
sorry, my autocorrect changed the y to an i
LOL Fabi! Good question if you don’t know who he is. Kind of proves hubby’s point too. 😉
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear_Grylls
Ah, wilderness survival. Got it. *Nods sagely* We need one of those at B&N. *snicker*
Wait, wasn’t that guy found to be fake and staying at a hotel most of the time or something? I gotta look that up. Fine, if we need real, I’m going with Les Stroud. He seems like he’d do good against zombies. Uhm… We still get Amy’s hubby, right?
Also, Amy, reaaaadddd it. 😛
Hey guys! Just finished Mr O and loved it!! Nick is so perfect. *sigh* Loved Harper too. I want to be best friends with her. Lauren Blakely is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
LOL Tessa! I hadn’t heard about that, but then again I so wasn’t listening! I’d already disqualified him (Bear Grylls) in my mind because his bio said he named his children Huckleberry and Marmaduke. Of course they had normal names also, but still.
I think all that might really truly matter to this crowd is having someone to grow the potatoes and make the vodka! 😉
Or grapes for wine. 🙂 The B&N has a Starbucks, right? We’ll need to grow coffee beans too.
I finished Invision last night. It was so good I didn’t want to stop at all. Of course, that’s why I’m so tired this morning. It was one of those that is so fast paced time passes too quickly. I looked up after I was done and realized it was almost 1am. *Happy sigh* Yep, it really was that good.
OMG, you guys are nuts! Just took me so long to catch up on all your comments. So we all head to the B&N near Amy’s house if there’s an apocalypse, right?!?!? All I would know is to head west, but where the heck does Amy live???? Haha! I swear I go through withdrawal if I don’t connect with you guys everyday!
I think we should bring Jeannine Colette too, because I love her and she takes criticism really well! And what about Tarryn Fisher and Shay Savage….that would make things waayyy interesting!
So seriously, back to books, what’s everyone reading? I’m on the 3rd book of the Gentry Boys (Game)….really loving the triplets! (thanks again to Fabi).
So, is there a definite BR of Unbreak My Heart tomorrow? I just checked it out and I think I might be able to handle it (might just be the changeup I need right now)…..who all is reading it besides Amy and Maryse?
Oh HECK yeah, Tessa!! My hubby will be there ’cause we need someone to be hunter-gatherer for us! He can fend off zombies while we hang out in B&N painting our nails, gettin’ drunk, and reading. Because priorities.
Jean…I’m in Washington state so just head West when the apocalypse hits! 😀 And yes to the BR tomorrow of Unbreak My Heart! *squeals* I’m really going to have to hang out with those Gentry boys as well…I mean, triplets?!? *swoony sigh*
Amy Im bringing my hubby too because he can build a fire out of practically nothing and build/fix anything. (Plus Id miss him).
Just might take us a while to get there!! 😉
