January 29, 2026 By Maryse Leave a Comment

Real <— BLAST FROM OUR INDIE BOOK PAST & THIS BOOK ROCKED OUR WORLDS!! Cristina contacted me asking if I had read it yet (heck yes!!!!) so I linked her to my own 5-star review. That said, for those that are new to our reading community and might not have read this one yet, maybe this recommendation from Cristina will spur you into action. 😉

She said:

I am not sure if you have reviewed this book or not, but its called “Real: A Novel” by Katy Evans.

I have ready so many of the books you have reviewed on here! I just fell back into reading this past June after taking many years off because of life (lol). I have ready over 30 books since then and I must say there have been a few that have left me breathless. You do such awesome reviews on here and you are always dead-on! read more

Throwback Thursday: On This Day on Maryse’s Book Blog – Jan 29th…

January 29, 2026 By Maryse Leave a Comment

IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER THROWBACK THURSDAY & as you can see, this one is football themed. From my not realizing when the Super Bowl was, to me reading a book about a football star, and the very fact that the Super Bowl is on its way, I think this fits perfectly!

bev: I didn’t know you were a football fan?? Or does football equal reading on the couch while he watches next to you?

Maryse: You got it bev. 😉 I read. Tee hee!! But snuggled under a blankie together was good enough for me! read more

Monday Early Bird Book Releases – 01-29-2024

January 29, 2024 By Maryse Leave a Comment

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!! IT’S A NEW WEEK & A NEW CHANCE TO FIND OUR VERY FAVORITE BOOK EVER! 😀 But first…

<— P.S. Check out what’s going live tomorrow!!!! House of Flame and Shadow (Crescent City) by Sarah J. Maas

THREE THINGS:

1.) I watched Taylor’s boyfriend play yesterday. <—- LOL!!! I just couldn’t help myself. I’ve been watching football since meeting my fiancé, so I knew about the Chiefs, ’cause of how popular Mahomes was (is). Then last year, I was sucked into, and delighted by the story of the Kelce’s mom watching the Super Bowl, watching her two boys play against each other. What a fun day that was!! And I was hoping that would be the case again this year, since Taylor’s favorite (or past favorite team, I believe, was The Eagles) so it would have been something so fun to watch her two favorite teams play against each other again. Alas, I’m thrilled that Taylor’s boyfriend will be at the Super Bowl and I’m a big Purdy fan too, so who knows… I’ll be glad whoever wins. P.S. Here are more of these fun “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend” t-shirts. read more
