Finding these new authors is interesting…some really good and some eeek! Here’s the next installment.
Ivy Myst: The Space He Left (Book 1/3 of Willowbrook Book series)
Angst, betrayal, an emotional affair, skullduggery, savior/hero complex, twists and turns, and loads of angst…a binge worthy book that came out in October 2025.

The main tropes are:
– A strong pregnant FMC
– Her husband, the MMC, is faced with the return of an old “friend” who professes to have cancer
– The old friend is the OW, and she’s more than a friend…she’s the MMC’s former serious girlfriend who constantly needs his help
– The MMC keeps taking off to help his friend, and the lying commences
– The MMC’s continuing disappearances occur at significant events in the FMC’s life generating terrible tension and stress
– The OW is a real piece of work, deceitful, manipulative and villainous…will she get her just desserts?
– Great secondary characters
– A very satisfying HEA
