<— HOLY MOLY LOOK AT THAT!!!!! 😂🤣 This is wayyyyyy too much fun!!! I just love being inspired by my old posts that make up these lists and creating something so fun to go with it! As you can tell, my big highlight of this day, from back in time, was our HUGE love for Karen Marie Moning’s Fever Series!!!! It rocked our worlds, left and right, throttled us, and kept us coming back for more, and THAT ending!!! *whooooooooooof* that was something else!
And then… a few years later, the author surprised us with a sort of spin-off plus another book featuring our favorite couple!!
Ria: The series that gave me the most chills is Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series.
Patricia: My favorite is Dark Fever series. The slow burn between Barrons and Mac is everything!
Michelle S: I just finished the last book in the Fever Series, A Kingdom of Shadow and Light. It’s finally done. I love it when a series is over, but it also makes me sad. I miss the characters and the world.
But… there’s been plenty of book fun, on this day, January 22nd since the start of my blog, and here is a lookback blast from our book past!
Reader Question… Solved! The book where they’re stuck driving together to a trip and they don’t like each other… <— JANUARY 22, 2025
Reader Question – The arranged marriage book where they live separately & he summons her for a divorce… <— JANUARY 22, 2025
“…arranged marriage where the H and h live on opposite sides of US. He summons her to NY, for divorce after 10 years. I don’t think it’s what she expected…”
P.S. This one is still unsolved!! Have a guess for us?
Book Review – The Invitation by Vi Keeland <— JANUARY 22, 2021
Kristina: I agree a definite must read!!❤️❤️❤️ I couldn’t put it down!! And the twist I honestly didn’t see it coming, I mean knew there had to be a twist, but boy was it twist! 😱 now I moved on but can’t stop thinking of them. ☺️
Shaleen: Just finished reading this. I have to say Vi Keeland definitely knows how to write the perfect male character. They are always so ‘real’. Loved this one!!!
Megan: I just finished it, i loved it, i couldn’t help smiling through it!! I love the unique aspects of it!
Reader Favorites – Rebecca’s Top Books of 2019 List <— JANUARY 22, 2020
“…here is a double scoop of my reading greatness the last two years. I hope it isn’t too later to share–for 2019, I mean. 🙂
I am completely unable to keep either list to 10–please forgive me and know that I whittled even this down from way more. You give great recommendations which leads to me finding great authors–which leads to *lots* of amazing books!”
My review of the BenQ e-Reading LED Desk Lamp that I use as my reading lamp <— JANUARY 22, 2020 – I STILL USE THIS TO THIS DAY! It’s on my night stand and perfect for reading!
Book Review – Egomaniac by Vi Keeland <— JANUARY 22, 2017
Lisa M: On my tbr list. Next up actually. Love Vi’s books. Can’t wait to read this one even more excited that you gave it a 4.5!! Maryse your reviews are so spot on!!! Only blog I follow!!!
Lisa: …VI Keeland never disappoints. She does hot bossy alphas to perfection. Finished this one and really loved it. I really appreciate the fact that Vi Keeland can write in a bit of angst and those Oh-O moments without creating unnecessary drama and crazy unbelievable plot twists. These characters had REAL life problems and handled them (mostly) like grown ups. Loved it.
Maryse: It was fun, wasn’t it, guys?? So many cute and laugh-out-loud spots, and there was a lot going on (living-wise) for both of these characters. I really liked it!!
Hey Jezebel fans… Look what I have!!!! AFTERMATH: A Short Story by K. Larsen <— JANUARY 22, 2016
Jennifer: Thank you thank you thank you!!! This is really fresh for me, I just recommended this for my book club meeting this last Wednesday so I first read Jezebel this past weekend and was blown away. I 5 starred it but wished to learn more about the aftermath but thought that may have lessened the impact of the story. Now I know, it did not…perfect!
Grey: ACK!!!! OMG! OMG, OMG!!! Do you know what happened the last time I read something pertaining to Jezebel?!?!! *giggle* Maryse does *snort* something to do with profanity and censoring of posts or something *rocks back on heels and whistles a happy tune* Ms Larsen thank you so much for this little tidbit… dare we hope there is another book coming for us soon?? Thank you so much!!!
Jean: Finally got around to reading this and it made my head spin all over again!
5 of Today’s Brand Spankin’ New Releases (and what I’m currently reading…)
Maryse: I’m currently reading one that is TOTALLY up my “old” alley. “The Girl on the Train: A Novel” <— One of mystery and intrigue and kind of creepy-scary by way that everyone seems a little nuts, but sad, and I dunno. Something bad… really bad…. just happened.
Jen C: Oooh I stumbled across The Girl on the Train last week. I’m about a third of the way through and loving it!
Leah: Finished Girl on the Train last week (as I was on a train, no less). I had to stop myself from racing through to the end to see what really happened and how it all worked out. Definitely a fun one that keeps you guessing.
Bonnie Dee – Wyatt Brothers Series Reading Order <— JANUARY 22, 2015
Sophia: Sofia: Bonnie writes amazingly flawed heroes, and I adored Blind Passion. Her characters are real, never perfect, and they make mistakes. I’m very excited about this series too
Jean: I really like Blind Pasion too and looking forward to Jonah’s story!
T.E. Sivec – Playing With Fire Series Reading Order <— JANUARY 22, 2014
Twin: Ok, I just finished A beautiful Lie by T.E. Sivec (aka Tara Sivec author of Seduction and Snacks) and HOLY CRAP was it good!
Nay: Ooh! I also loved A Beautiful Lie!
Carrie: OhhhEmmmGee!!! I looooooove A Beautiful Lie and cannot wait for the remainder of the series!!! I was in the Navy and it was neat to be able to relate to!
Jen Frederick – Woodlands Series Reading Order <— JANUARY 22, 2014
Celeste: I’ve read the first two and I really enjoyed them. I actually liked the second one even better than the first. I love it when that happens, when the second book in the trilogy seems even better than the first. I definitely recommend this series! *runs off to start book three*
Polli: I loved this series! Book 2&3 are 5 star books. Highly recommend.
