I have been looking for this novel for awhile now. I read it years ago but I don’t remember its name so help me out please.
The plot:
The heroine lives with a stepdad, who adores her, and a mother who hates her.
The hero either knows or a relative to the stepdad. She loves the hero but her mother ruins that for her by bad mouthing so the hero rejects her and she ends up wandering the streets one night because of his rejection. While wandering, she is raped and beaten up so badly that she requires a face reconstruction surgery .
