THIS POST IS SOOOOO NOSTALGIC FOR ME because there are many of my favorites that our fellow readers would choose as the ONE BOOK. It makes my heart ache and swoon and soar to remember reading these books for the first time. The feelings they brought up, the memories I have from that time period, that whole time of my life surrounded by new indie books that I could not stop devouring. SUCH HAPPINESS!!!

But! This list is not just “books-that-I-loved” nostalgia because there are quite a few new-to-me recommendations on here too. YAY US!!! And for the latest generation of readers that haven’t read our original indie favorites, PLEASE DO SO!!! I can’t wait to hear your reactions. 😊 read more

Movie Review – Final Destination Bloodlines

YAY ME!! I watched the latest Final Destination Bloodlines and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Exciting and scary, and clever (creative when it came to the deaths – these writers are so clever!!), and so in your face about it. I absolutely LOVE the crazy, out of this world premonitions that start the movie because they are gasp-worth & terrifying and shocking, and WOW this one did not disappoint.

I loved the comedy in this one too.

I mean to take something terrifying and have a group of characters interact and react the way they do, to each other makes it so fun – you feel the camaraderie, connections,  the banter – ohhhhh the banter!!!! 😊 – and personal life issues that they have and the focus is NOT only on the horror aspect. Favorite death scene? ALL OF THEM. But especially the initial premonition, the hospital MRI scene and the tattoo parlor scene. PURE EXCELLENCE and a few fun twists along the way. MAN I LOVED IT! read more

PRIME DAY FUN DAY #4 + Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 07-11-2025

HAPPY LAST PRIME DAY!!! At least for now. All good things must come to an end and allllll the amazing deals will too (at least of the Prime Day variety). Today is the last day we can indulge in everything we’ve been wanting and everything we didn’t even know we wanted until now but soon…our fun things will arrive and we’ll have new products to explore (or just revel in the amazing opportunity to stock up in our favorites).

HAPPY DAY THREE OF AMAZON PRIME DAY SALE WEEK!! This is a first right? It used to be only 2 days, and I think this is the first week of extra deals!! I’m loving it and finding so many of my favorites on sale, so since I need some makeup & skin care replenishment I figured I’d focus today’s finds on my skin care routine, and my favorite color palettes (and hair care too, since I’m all about all of that!).
