We’re doing this post a little differently, ’cause instead of a reader confession, I have an author that gives us a confession. Actually… TWO confessions. π I love when we get to “know” an author a little better, and THIS author is one of my all-time favorites. I’ve loved everything I’ve read from her (and I’ll include links to all of my reviews of her books). YAY KATE STEWART!!!
Okay so about these confessions. One is fun, and one is *ahem* extra fun. *waggles eyebrows* π
Kate confesses:
Author Quirks #1: I will not listen to anything but the soundtrack I build while writing a book. I have a Spotify playlist for every book Iβve written. Itβs essential to my writing. The music has to be loud, and I walk around with the phone in my hand and earbuds on everywhere I go. When I finish a book, I take a victory lap around Charleston with the top down with the soundtrack blaring. π
Author Quirks #2: My husband nudged me one day while I was writing. I had my Dre Beats blaring and was working on myΒ laptop next to him. He knows I hate being bothered while I’m in the zone, so I ignored him. A few minutes later he tapped me again. Irritated, I ripped off my headphones asked him what his problem was.
“You’re moaning.”
“I’m what?”
“You’re moaning.”
Apparently, I moan when I write the hot and heavy. LOL
*gasp* Β *blink blink* * LOVE IT!!!!!!! Now THAT is a confession!!!! π
P.S. Check out how awesome this author is. Here are her books on Amazon, and here are a few of my own reviews:
I have the biggest girl crush on her right now!
That. Is. HILARIOUS! π
Oh, wow! That’s awesome!!!
Loved DRIVE soooooo much! That was my first read from this author. What do you recommend to read next from her?
Season… I’m going to put up a list in a day or so. π But right off the bat, I’d say the closest thing to the intensity and angst (also rock stars & music industry people) would be “How to Kill a Rockstar. That will be at the top of my “What to Read after Drive” list. π
Here’s my review:

*scooches into Season-Maryse conversation*
Also Season, Room 212 would be my suggestion for your next read from this author, but Maryse has read and reviewed a few others (as well as the beloved Room 212) from her. π
Amy I’m so going to post that recommendation too!! I can’t wait to get started on that list.
And yes, How to Kill a Rockstar is FANTASTIC and angsty and has all kinds of Drive feels. And then some.
YES!! The Kate Stewart reading list! π
THANK YOU LADIES!
