• Before We Were Yours: A Novel by Lisa Wingate <— SUPER-BARGAIN!!!

Michele G: I also really loved Before We Were Yours …but it’s heavy. …was excellent!

Tasha J: Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wngate <- not a quick book, but so good. 5+++ stars for me. This one’s my favorite for 2017, hands down. I’ve never read Lisa Wingate before, but I’ll definitely be looking into more of her work.

For ME (my opinion) it was as good as The Nightingale. COMPLETELY different stories, but all the feels were there for me. Historical fiction, though I’d never heard of the Tenn. Children’s Home Society scandal before. And such beautiful writing! Rill and her family will forever be in my heart, *sniff* they really came alive for me.

I really loved reading all the past parts, the way they spoke, everything’s descriptions, felt so alive and real. And then I also enjoyed the present because, man I needed a break from all the rough stuff and the mystery, some part of it probably only for me (drrr) had me puzzled until the near end. Gosh I feel all full of emotion, it’s so heartbreaking.

I even had to stretch this sucker out forever it seemed, though I didnt want to, and it was still fresh and raw every time I jumped back in.

• The American Roommate Experiment: A Novel by Elena Armas <— SUPER-BARGAIN!! HER APARTMENT CRUMBLES ON HER… “…Luckily she has her best friend Lina’s spare key while she’s out of town. But Rosie doesn’t know that Lina has already lent her apartment to her cousin Lucas, who Rosie has been stalking—for lack of a better word—on Instagram for the last few months. Lucas seems intent on coming to her rescue like a Spanish knight in shining armor. Only this one strolls around the place in a towel, has a distracting grin, and an irresistible accent. Oh, and he cooks. Lucas offers to let Rosie stay with him...”
• One Italian Summer: A Novel by Rebecca Serle <— SUPER-SALE!!! I LOVED “IN FIVE YEARS” so I one-clicked it for myself! Reviews say there’s a HUGE TWIST that nobody saw coming. That’s totally my thing!! 😀

Michelle G: One was One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle (she wrote In Five Years for those of you who read that) and the other was The Unsinkable Greta James by Jennifer E. Smith. I liked them both quite a bit. It might be where I’m at personally or maybe not. Both books deal with a daughter who has lost her mother. Since my mom passed away in 2020, I was a little afraid of them…especially since I was reading a lot in the airport. But they both left me with a good feeling. Very well written.

• Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty <— SUPER-BARGAIN & SOUNDS SO GOOD!! I LOVE THIS AUTHOR! TRIPLET SISTERS! “…Lyn, Cat, and Gemma Kettle, beautiful thirty-three-year-old triplets, seem to attract attention everywhere they go. Together, laughter, drama, and mayhem follow them, but apart, each is dealing with her own share of ups and downs. Lyn has organized her life into one big checklist, Cat has just learned a startling secret about her marriage, and Gemma, who bolts every time a relationship hits the six-month mark, holds out hope for lasting love...”
• The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing (The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up) by Marie Kondō <— SUPER-BARGAIN PRICED!! I love these kinds of books!! Anything organizational or decluttering brings me joy. 😉
