Q: What one piece of advice would you give an aspiring writer?
A: Write the book you want to read. No matter how strange or specific or out there, no matter who tells you that’s not what’s going to sell, only you can tell that story. It’s yours, and the world needs it. There are readers out there right now, looking for it. They don’t need more of what they already have. They need your story.
I AGREE 100%!!!! This is why I fell in love with indie in the first place… the stories were daring and could tear your heart out, and sometimes didn’t end how I expected, and sometimes totally sweet and loving and still angsty… and I LOVED that. Just write it. PLEASE.
